“Start.” I commanded and he took a deep breath first.

“He’s your brother—”

“WHAT?!” I rose up from my chair. “My what? I do not have any brother. What do you mean by brother? The only sibling I have is Adela and that's all.”

“Would you calm down for God's sake Gabriella!” He shouted at me and I sat down back. “No one should talk till I'm through with talking. Is that clear?”

“Yes.”

“Yes.”

We both muttered and he proceeded.

“The both of you are siblings.”

“But how?” I just had to ask and something told me to look at the face of my supposed brother. There was a hint of sadness and nervousness on his face.

“That’s none of your concern.” The boy said before standing up and leaving the kitchen.

When the morning was fully awake and ready to leave for afternoon to come and stay, I was on one of the sofas in the living room that I baptized with buttered popcorn and when I heard footsteps on the stairs, I turned to have a look who it was, it was him...that boy from before.

Something in me was so curious to know about him and talk to him. So I stood up and blocked his path.

He stopped in his tracks and moved back as soon as I came in front of him.

“What are you doing?” He looked at me in confusion.

“Where are you going to?” I asked.

“Somewhere.”

“Like where?”

“A place.”

“Which place?” I said as I blocked his path when he wanted move around me.

“What is your problem?” He was getting irritated.

“Nothing.”

“Then what do you want?”

“Will you please take me to wherever you're going to?”

“Why?” He rose his brow at me.

“Because I'm bored. I'll be the only one at home.” I frowned.

After a few seconds, he nodded in agreement and off we went in his car.

I tried to start off a conversation during the drive but, I guess he didn't really want one.

~~

“Oh my gosh I love this place. Mr. Greene's ice creams are the best!”  I said once I saw where we were going to.

“Really you like his ice creams too?” He said as we came down from the car and climbed the stairs leading to the opening.

“Like? I love it! It has this unique taste that calls my tongue wanting for more.”

“Riighttt???? It's almost like it has a potion inside of it that casted a love spell on your tastebuds.”

“That’s what I said! GOD! Great minds think alike.” I complimented him and he chuckled. Once we got settled on a table, we continued our conversation and moved on to other conversations, we talked about our schools and then my head clicked that his school was the one where one of the students tried to take advantage of me during that STUPID PARTY!, we talked about our likes and dislikes and so many other stuff, I realized we actually had a lot in common.
