If you look at the bottom left hand side and bottom middle of Coriolanus Snow and Alma Coin's collage, you can see some parallel with the throne and district seal. I wanted to show that they both have the same goal in mind- power and they will do anything to get it. They are similar to each other. Dangerous. Manipulative. Two enemies of Panem.

☆☆
I also chose the colour scheme for Snow's collage to be white, black and cream. The reason for this is to show his cold, unforgiving nature and also link his surname "snow" to the collage. However, the only bit of bright colour in the collage is the snake which is green. The reason for this is because of the phrase "showing his true colours as a snake." This well known quote rings true in the case of our President  Coriolanus Snow. "Coriolanus Snow" is also positioned on the snake, showing that he metaphorically a snake.

That concept is similar to Alma Coin's collage. I darkened the pictures to show the dullness of living underground. The darkness also suggests the darkness in her heart. Perhaps she was once an innocent child but as she grew older, she became hardened with hate once she saw what the Capitol had to offer, hence the dark tint to the pictures.

If you look closely at the blue picture, you can see the hovercraft and the parachutes that were released from it. Yup. I did. Sorry. I truly am. PRIMMMM. You were too young, too gentle.

I didn't darken the picture though to show where her true colours are, like I did with Snow's. The parachutes (*SPOILER ALERT*) shows how she will do anything for power, even if it means bombing a pen full of children and medics and making it look like the other side who did it, hence showing her true colours.

In my story, I make Alma Coin and Lucy Gray the same person. As you can see Lucy Gray's collage is bright and full of colour. Ironically though as she left District 12 and became free from the grasp of the Capitol, her collage- Alma Coin, turns dark. This could show how she was never free from the Capitol and being in District 13 made her realise fully the enslavement Panem and made her desperate to overthrow the Capitol and Coriolanus Snow, turning her into the person we know as Alma Coin.

I made some ballad of songbirds and snakes inspired posters too:

(I didn't make the background, it was part of the ballad of songbirds and snakes journal that was released on the same day)

Fun fact: the throne I used in Coriolanus Snow's collage is the same throne used in the promotion pictures for Mockingjay part 1 and 2
