𝘙𝘈𝘍𝘌 𝘋𝘙𝘖𝘗𝘗𝘌𝘋 𝘛𝘏𝘌 keys he'd used to open the front door back into his pocket as he brushed inside. He had a backpack hitched on one shoulder while his free hand shoved the door back close.

Even though he'd changed out of the clothes he'd left in the morning with on, a new wave of sweat had rolled underneath his fresh shirt, making the air-conditioned coolness that greeted him as he moved further into the house feel like heaven. When he pulled a hand through his hair, he also found that his forehead was slick from being out in the summer heat.

"Rafe?" The boy's head snapped in the direction he heard Graylin's voice call from to see her padding down the stairs in one of his t-shirts. Her messy hair told him that she'd only recently woken up.

"Hey, baby, how're you feeling?" He asked, allowing his backpack to slide off his arm and collapse onto the couch before making his way over to his hungover girlfriend.

"I'm okay . . ." She told him frowning. "Did you go out? Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I figured you needed your rest." He told her. "I, uh, went back," He proceeded to reveal. "To Tannyhill- I went back. Grabbed more of my stuff for the trip and-"
