𝘚𝘐𝘕𝘊𝘌 𝘉𝘌𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘖𝘜𝘛 of school, the teens that attended Kildare Prep had no homework to concern themselves with. They did, however, have to report to Masonboro for a school-sanctioned beach cleanup.

Graylin treated a few friends to a ride on her Malibu wakesetter to get to the beach that was a half-an-hour drive from Kildare island. Kheo had been a no show when they departed and Graylin only found out why once she got to Masonboro to see him already there.

"You were quote unquote bummed the day Layla couldn't make it to the Boneyard keggar." Chessa reminded her friend as they trudged their way through the sand, picking up trash that they would sort later. "What changed now?"

"Are you kidding me?" Graylin straightened back up from where she'd been bent over. She looked in the direction of Kheo and Layla where she knew she could find them giggling and messing around. "They're not even working, Chessa." Graylin continued to watch as Kheo slinked his arms around Layla's waist so that he could draw her to him and place a kiss on her lips. "I can't believe he didn't tell me."

"Tell you what?"

"That she's officially his girlfriend."

"We all saw it coming, didn't we?" Chessa shrugged as she led Graylin to another area on the beach to clean up.
