𝘋𝘖𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘉𝘈𝘋 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘕𝘎𝘚 normally came easy to Rafe. He'd racked up enough bad decisions in his life that making more only became easier and easier for him. However, no matter how easy the battle against his conscience had become, getting away with a crime had always been tricky. And unfortunately for him, even though he'd stolen an expensive watch from his dad's safe with no troubles that night, he immediately ran into trouble when his dad caught him red-handed before he could leave the house.

Rafe had been expecting punishment, but from where he sat now in the passenger seat of the Escalade as he waited for his dad to come back from paying off his debt to Barry himself, he wasn't sure what to expect.

He'd been told to stay in the truck, but Rafe couldn't sit still knowing what Barry was capable of. Worried about his father's well-being, the nineteen year old pushed himself out of his seat and followed his dad's tracks up to the clearing where Barry's shack stood.

Panic struck him when he heard grunts of pain and the adrenaline that kicked him to start running in the direction of the noises made the blood pulsing throughout his body sound loudly in his own ears. When he spotted his dad hovering over Barry who was rolling on the muddy ground before his feet, Rafe could barely hear the younger man's groans over the sound of his own heart beating.
