❝ BEAUTIFUL INSANITY ❞

Sharing a meal with somebody who actually seemed to show some interest in conversation was a refreshing feeling for Millie.

This was something she hadn't experienced in quite some time. Everybody around her became so fake in nearly every aspect, the same as she had. So with that, every occasion spent discussing the smallest of things was a constant headache that begged for her to do something to deal with it.

But with Finn, eating a few perfectly prepped pancakes with a variety of colorful fruit in small bowls for each, she didn't feel that urge to delve away into the powdery snow she had become so used to snorting at the start of her days.

To put it bluntly, her breakfast was typically a small dose of cocaine when she woke. A few lines to liven up her energy, wake her senses and buzz her to life. The equivalent of a fresh cup of coffee for her.

This morning, she avoided doing so. She wasn't sure she wanted to leave Finn's presence so soon. She was doing fine with just eating in a comfortable silence with occasional small talk. Leaving, even just for that quick little trip to the bathroom, she knew it would disrupt the atmosphere.

As Millie finished up her pancakes, she would spare a few furtive glances towards the curly haired boy. Peeking beneath her lashes towards the spot a few feet away from herself along the large dining room table.

He was busying himself as he hummed an unfamiliar tune, a few curls falling across his forehead as he kept his head angled down as he pushed small pieces of pancakes into his mouth. She took these short seconds to admire him from afar.

When she was taken off into some drugged stupor, everything was so much more vivid than a sober reality. Something that she actually really liked. But in all honesty, she felt that it didn't do nearly enough justice to Finn.

Under some influence, there was certain things that she couldn't quite catch. Her mind was either far too sluggish to recognize it, or traveling too fast to keep up with everything else. These small, insignificant details were something she found herself really fond of at the moment.

As she began to pop a few blueberries into her mouth, she tilted her head curiously. He caught her eye for a split second, sending a smile towards her before taking his attention away. One corner of his mouth tended to rise higher when he smiled. She liked that.

The raven curls atop his head were a ravenous mess. Yet, they seemed to pair well with him overall. Each curl was different, messily loose or curled tighter, slightly shorter or longer. Another thing she couldn't help but to like.
