(Luna's POV)
The next morning when I woke up were full of good-byes, hugs, and handshakes.
"Are you sure you don't need anymore help?" I asked.
Thalia shook her head.
"No, you've done a lot for us. Thank you. Good bye."
I frowned.
"What's wrong?" Thalia asked.
"It's just that... 'good-bye' seems like we are never going to see each other again," I started. "So, how about... 'See you later'?"
Thalia smiled and hugged me tightly and whispered,
"See you later."
Some one tapped my shoulder. I turned around, and a voice sounding sad, said
"Come on, Luna. Let's get going."
I nodded and smiled. Before I forgot, I turned to Thalia one last time.
"Hold out your hand," I commanded.
I dug in my pant pocket and my fingertips grazed what I was looking for. I grabbed it and pulled it out. I placed the present in Thalia's hand.
"If there's trouble, you know who to call," I said.
Thalia pulled me in and whispered,
"If anyone gives you affection, don't be afraid of it."
"I..." I started. I felt my cheeks heat for a moment. I blinked a few times to focus again. "S-See you later," I said awkwardly saluting to my sister. I turned around and headed for my patient team.
"Sorry it took so long."
"No problem," Started Robin. "Should we get going?"
I nodded my head.
"Yeah... let's go."
~~~~~~~~
"Just a few more miles before we get to the signal," Robin urged.
We've been traveling for a while. I have this sick feeling in my stomach; like we weren't supposed to leave my sister yet. I run into someone's back.
"Sorry,"
"You're fine," said Robin.
"So, Robin, why did we stop?" Raven asked.
"The signal ends here," he stated.
I felt confusion and fear mixing in my head.
"Guys... I don't like this...." I said, breathing in deeply.
"Yeah, I agree with Luna. Why send a signal in the middle of nowhere. Doesn't it seem a little suspicious?" Cyborg stated.
"Yes!" Starfire started. "I must agree with Cyborg. Also, this signal is very close to Thalia,"
My stomach dropped as I put the pieces together.
"Th-There was no signal... It was... punishment," I slowly started.
"Luna, what do you mean?" Robin asked.
"This is my punishment... I led... oh, please no..." I covered my mouth. "Thalia..."
I turned around and started to jog. I don't care if I ran into a tree. I was getting to Thalia. I felt footsteps behind me.
"Where are you going Luna?" Beast boy asked, running next to me.
"Thalia is... in danger," I gasped out.
"Danger? How?" Raven asked.
"Slade."
