Ch.25 The Cat, The Owl, The Weasel

"Yuki-chan?" I smiled, seeing his cat-like eyes once again.  

"Zume-kun."" He blushed a little and looked down to his game. The Rooster head and Owl head both looked at me with wide eyes while Akaashi smirks. I waved at them both to introduce myself. 

"Hi, I'm Miyuki Shimotsuki. I was a childhood friend of Keijji-kun and Zume-kun." The Rooster head gawks at me before turning to Zume-kun. 

"How? What? When? Kenma!" Zume-kun blinks at him and shrugs. "Explain this. You had a childhood friend before me!" He sounded hurt but I can tell he's playing. It's kinda cute as I looked over to Keiji-kun having the same thing. 

"Akaashi! You have a friend and you never introduce her to me! How dare you!" The Owl head looks to be in his emo mode as Keiji-kun just deadpans. 

"Bokuto-san, she just came back from America. She's attending Itachiyama and we only exchanged numbers now." Bokuto, the owl head, then turns to me with a smile and points to himself. 

"Hi Shimo-chan, Kotaro Bokuto the #1 Ace and the strongest ace." He said in confidence but I tilted my head at that. 

"I thought Sakusa is #1?" 

Uh Oh. Akaashi frowns as he turns to Bokuto who has a shade over his eyes. The Rooster head guy starts laughing as he heard me and pats Bokuto. I must have said something wrong. Did I ruined his pride? 

"There, there." The Rooster head comforts Bokuto. "She's from Itachiyama, it must be a support." I then turn to Zume-kun who blinks and then gestures for the Rooster head to me. I remember Zume-kun is really observant as always. 

"Hello there, I'm Tetsuro Kuroo, 3rd year Class 5 and best friend of Kenma." He reaches for my hand as I shake his in return. I nod and see that Zume-kun made a friend while I was gone. "How do you know Kenma anyway?"

"My grandparents used to live next to him while I attended the same Elementary School as Keiji-kun. I moved to America after my Father passed." 

"I'm sorry to hear that. But Kenma has been doing really well. I got him to play volleyball." I nod in appreciation as then Zume-kun got flustered and turn to his game. 

"Please stop it, Kuroo." He mutters silently before sitting over on the couch where Keiji-kun and I were. Kuroo went to comfort Bokuto with Keiji-kun. I forgot what I said as I tried to calm him down too.

"Shimo-chan!" Bokuto whines. "Don't say that name or any name who's in the Top 3!" Kuroo and Keiji-kun sweat drops. I chuckled nervously. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't know Bokuto-kun." I bowed, feeling sympathy bc he might hate me. I know of the Top 5 Aces but I didn't think he would go into it now. Keiji-kun wasn't kidding. "I'm sure you'll be #1 this year." I tried to cheer him up and I don't know how he'll beat Sakusa but anything to get him to stop. Fortunately, he became happy just like that. 

"It's ok Shimo-chan I am the best volleyball playa ever! Hey! Hey! Hey!" I smiled at his action as Keiji-kun just gave me a look like he's seen this before. 

"So Shimotsuki-san," Kuroo looks at me as I hums. "What position do you play?" 

"I'm the Ace." Bokuto perks up and Kuroo raised an eyebrow. 

"Just like Sakusa." He said in a teasing voice to Bokuto who has an irk mark on his forehead. 

"Just like me too." 

"I hope I get to see you all play." I cut in before Bokuto gets into one of his mood swings. Whoever marries him, I bless you to have the patience just like Keiji-kun does for him and being outgoing and understanding. I looked a the time and my Coach wanted us to be back after the Boys are done with their games. I have 30 minutes left.
