Ooookay so here's how this will go down.

I know enough about Sleeping Beauty to piece together this story.

I will be adding some Maleficent in here too.

I haven't been able to watch Sleeping Beauty because it bores me a lot, but so many people have requested it so I want to get it out of the way.

Fairies were a well kept secret, although many people knew of their existence, even if they never saw them. The people knew that leaving gifts as peace offerings for the fairies would get the on the fairies good side and they would be rewarded for their kind deeds. Stefan's father often told him stories of the fairies, but he was very skeptical. Being curious, as most young boys are, Stefan wanted proof. He looked over at the Moores and squinted his eyes, trying to see proof of what was hidden inside. "Come Stefan, the sun is setting," his father said, pulling him out of his musings. As he looked away, he could have sworn he saw a tiny movement inside of the Moores, but didn't get to look back.

A few years later, Stefan decided to venture into the Moores. His curiosity was too much for him and he needed to put it to rest once and for all. He walked in slowly and looked around curiously. Nothing strange caught his eye, until she appeared before him. Her wings were long and beautiful and her head tilted curiously. "Who are you," she asked.

Stefan stared, but only for a moment, before smiling at her. "I am Stefan," he replied happily and that introduction opened the door of a beautiful friendship.

Stefan would visit Maleficent at the Moores often and soon their friendship grew into love. On her sixteenth birthday, he gave her the gift of True Love's Kiss, but it was never meant to be. After their kiss, Stefan's visits were less frequent and soon stopped altogether. While her heart was saddened by this, Maleficent knew she couldn't dwell on it. She was the queen of the fairies and needed a level head to rule her kingdom.

Stefan had gone into duty working with the king. Their recent battle with the fairies had caused the king to become severely injured. "I need to choose one of you to take over the crown. Whoever kills that fairy and gives me proof, they will get the throne," the king said to his chosen men.

Stefan knew what he had to do. He quickly made his way to the Moores and called out for Maleficent.  "So you've returned," she said as she landed behind him.

He spun and was momentarily stunned by her beauty. Even after all this time, he still loved her. "They're coming to kill you," he said softly to her.

She sighed and nodded slowly before getting pulled into a hug by Stefan. They picked up where they left off as if he had never left. As the sun began to set, Stefan offered her a drink. Not expecting anything, she graciously accepted the drink and sipped it slowly. Soon her body became tired and sleep overwhelmed her.

Stefan watched her sleep until he was sure she was sleeping deeply. He then pulled out his dagger and prepared to plunge it into her, however his love for her kept him from doing so. He groaned and threw his dagger across the room. He needed a new plan, but what? He then remembered a tool in his bag. Slowly and quietly, he slipped the tool from his bag. He reminded himself that he was doing this for the throne. With a heavy sigh, he worked as fast as he could to cut her wings off. With her wings in hand, Stefan gazed down at her and sighed before hurrying off to show the king his prize.

When Maleficent awoke, her shoulders burned and seared with intense pain. Her hurt filled cries echoed through the Moores. It was then that she vowed to make Stefan pay and to never love again. As she walked along with her new mindset, she knew she needed a pair of wings, someone to do her flying for her. That's when she saw a beautiful raven trapped in a net. A farmer was about to beat him. Acting quickly, Maleficent cast a spell to make the raven a human, to save his life. She then made him an offer: She would take care of him, if he would be her wings. Diaval, the raven, agreed since he was indebted to her for saving his life.

Through Diaval, Maleficent learned that her wings were payment for a throne and later that Stefan's wife was expecting a child. "How sweet," she replied snidely as she thought of what to do with that information. She finally formulated a plan and smirked. She would wait for the king and queen to announce their daughter and when everyone offered their gifts, she would offer one of her own.

When the day came, people flooded from all over to welcome the little princess. Prince Phillip looked at the baby and wrinkled his nose. She was his betrothed, even though he didn't understand that yet. After Phillip left his gifts, the fairies floated in and began to give their gifts. Before the last fairy could give her gift, Maleficent floated in and smirked. "I have a gift," she said flatly.

"You're not welcome here," Stefan bellowed, but naturally she ignored him and placed a curse on the girl.

The third fairy sighed as Maleficent finished her curse. "I can not reverse her spell, but I can change it slightly. By true love's kiss she shall awaken," she amended.

Maleficent laughed mockingly and glared at Stefan. "There is no such thing," she said coldly before vanishing.

Stefan was grieved by the curse and looked to the three fairies for guidance. "Take her into the woods. Raise her, but do not return her until the day after her sixteenth birthday," he said hastily. After that decree, he had all the spinning wheels in the kingdom smashed and burned to ash. He would not take any chances.

Maleficent did not know where they had taken the girl, even Diaval could not find out, so she was stuck waiting. "She's engaged to Phillip mistress," Diaval said one day after he had returned from his daily rounds. "The plan was set in motion when the queen was pregnant. The boy could be her true love's kiss," he said softly causing Maleficent to hiss.

"We must find the boy," she said, sending Diaval out to find Phillip. When Diaval had found him, he reported back to Maleficent with his findings. Without wasting any time, she hurried to the prince and killed him in his sleep.

With the prince out of the way, Maleficent waited again. The day of Aurora's sixteenth birthday, the fairies told Aurora about her father and who she was. Not wanting to wait a second longer, Aurora ran to her father's castle. Diaval announced that she had returned and Maleficent took action. She hid in the shadows of the dungeons of the castle and fixed a spinning wheel. After it was fixed, she vanished and waited in a tree away from the castle with Diaval at her side.

Stefan roared in anger at the fairies as he hugged his daughter. "Lock her in her room until tomorrow," he said to his guards. The guards nodded and escorted Aurora to her room.

As she paced her room, Aurora began to feel restless. She had to get down to the dungeons, even if she didn't know why. She searched for an exit and found a hidden door. Quickly she slipped through the door and headed down for the dungeons.

As she entered the dungeons, she spotted the spinning wheel in the center of the room. It's pointy needle glistened in the dim light and called to her. She couldn't stop the compulsion inside of her to touch the sharp tip. Slowly she walked towards it with her finger out and finally reached it. Her finger was pricked by the sharp point and she swayed on her feet before crumpling to the floor in an endless sleep.

Maleficent watched as the people of the kingdom all fell into a deep endless sleep. She chuckled and left with Diaval. Often she would visit the castle to see how it was doing. Eventually, vines and overgrown shrubbery overtook the kingdom and the bodies decayed in their age. She rejoiced in this and had Diaval to rejoice with her.
