Sara didn't even know from where this outburst happened as she was not the one to
do confrontations but as soon as she opened her mouth words just started flowing .
But just like Sara, Samar also has had enough , so he said " well Sara , can you blame me for being upset? , I told you that I would wait for you but you decided that you wanted to be a messiah and married me even when you had zero feelings for me and since you already had decided that you cannot accept me as a husband ever It is better that we live like strangers only , I don't want to get hurt anymore "Samar reasoned
" well you are the one to blame here then !because you proposed to me , knowing well enough that I wasn't ready , It was not me who wanted to be a messiah but it was you who jumped to the boat of getting married to me as soon I decided to move out of this house "Sara replied to Samar's accusations
"Sara I have told you before also that your moving out was not the reason Of me proposing to you , Sometimes I wonder it would have been better if I would have hated you like I used to do in our childhood "He exclaimed
" You used to hate me" said Sara shocked at this revelation
"Yes because you were a perfect child to our parents, and I on the other hand was just a nuisance.I always thought mom preferred you over me and dad , well he completely adored you " He said giving his reasons
"You know that's not true Samar......." said Sara politely but Samar cut her off in the middle
" I know that now , I know that it was just immaturity of a 16 year old boy who was used to being the sole attention of his parents, I know now mom loved us both the same but things changed after you came and I never saw you as my cousin, you were just there , I don't know why I felt so protective of you even when I didn't like you that much and see how things have changed now" Samar chuckled bitterly
"I am so sorry to have made you feel that way" Sara apologised
" "You have no reason to be sorry, I told you those feelings are long gone , instead they have reversed completely I just don't know is it for better or worse because now I am in love with you and it kills me that you can't love me back " Samar said genuinely
"Samar I didn't know , I just don't know what to say"Sara replied first time speechless since their conversation started tears welling up in her eyes .
"Didn't you wonder why I didn't come to your wedding, why all these years I avoided coming here at home even when I missed you all so much because Sara I have loved you since I didn't even know what love meant , I didn't understand it before but then when I decided to get married and was looking for a girl you were always there ,getting married to Ruba was just an excuse to not think about you , but when I realised that you are the one and I can't have those feelings for anyone else .I decided to tell mom and dad as I couldn't wait any longer " Said Samar shuddering at the thought of marrying Ruba
" Samar I never knew..." said Sara apologetically
" I know" said Samar simply
"Samar , We cannot live like this , this needs to stop , Soon our parents will start noticing and we will have to answer and I know for sure we both know how that will go so,.."said Sara trying to ease out the tension between them
" So you now want us to act in front of them"said sharply
" No , but can we be cordial with each other , like friends, I want us to be friends ,Samar " replied Sara
Honestly he was also tired of being angry and resentful and daily coming late from the office to avoid Sara was getting too much for him
"ok , but I am still mad at you " said Samar finally
" Samar , I don't think friendships work this way , we should try to let this go and From what I have heard I am known to be a good friend, So I think this is good bargain for you " Sara slightly joked
"And then they all call me ,modest!" Said samar sarcastically
