Your breakup with Zayn is what inspired this song. Late at night the memories of you clouded his mind to the point where he couldn't sleep and that's when the lyrics just came to him. He knew he messed up but he had no way of fixing it because you avoided any contact with him at all costs. Zayn thought that maybe if you heard the song you would know that he felt terrible about the breakup and would be willing to talk it over. He could only hope that you weren't giving your love to someone else.

Liam: Change your ticket

This song came to Liam right after you boarded the flight to go back home. He wanted so badly for you to stay just a couple of more days but you insisted that the longer you stayed the harder it would be to leave. Now here Liam was alone in his hotel room writing this song for you while reminiscing on the memories when you two first started dating.

Louis: Act my age

When Louis met you he finally knew he met the girl that could keep up with his youthful spirit. He didn't have to act his age around you all the time and he could just be himself. And he knew as you two grew older his love for you would never die out, either would his youthful spirit. So he wrote this song for you to look back on when you guys get older and you're telling your grandchildren about your love story.

You and Niall hit a rough patch in your relationship and Niall honestly didn't know if you two could get through it. The awkward silence at the dinner table, the space between the two of you at night didn't go unnoticed by him. It was only a matter of time before one of you got fed up with it and left. In order to prevent that from happening, Niall wrote this song to express his feelings to you and to work out the problem before all the promises, midnight conversations and everything in between was forgotten.

You and Harry were pretty inseparable when you were 18 even though his career was in the making. For only being 18, you guys took your relationship seriously because you knew a love like this, even if you were really young, wouldn't come around again. That's why Harry was devastated when you broke it off due to his crazy career, you didn't want to hold him back. Years later, Harry decided to write this song for you because even at 20 he couldn't find a love that even came close to the love you two had at 18.
