Chapter 14

Even more to his surprise, the normally angry teen next to him looked over to Lucas with a soft, almost fond expression. "Bakugou?" He said to the other blond, head tilting in both confusion and curiosity.

Bakugou's eyes became sharp again, and his head snapped to the side to look at Kaminari. Angrily. "What is it, dunce face?"

"Eep! Never mind!" 'I guess Bakugou takes a liking to people who are as scary as himself??'

The conversation continued awkwardly, until only a few minutes remained before class.

The friend group packed up their things and started to clean up. Lucas got up to go to his locker, but Bakugou pinned him to a wall in an empty hallway instead. Straight up kabe-donned him.

(A/N: this is starting to feel suspiciously like a crack-fic.)

He looked directly into the pinkette's glowy eyes.
"Heart eyes. Train with me. Today, at the park after school."

Lucas shifted under the other boy's arms. "Isn't it a bit too earl-"

"Just be there," grunted the tow-headed boy. "I want to fight you."
He promptly turned around and went in another direction.

A drop of sweat glistened on the pinkette's face. Bakugou was very weird.

[Earlier, when lunch break began]

Y/n picked up her lunch, grabbed Izuku's hand and sprinted out the door. She didn't want to deal with her classmates' questions today. She just wanted to eat with Izuku in peace.

They sat outside in the courtyard as they did the first time they ate together, and started unpacking their lunches.

"Um... Y/n, if you don't mind, I have a lot of questions."

The girl sighed. 'I guess there's no way to avoid all of them altogether. At least it's just Izuku. He's not super popular or anything, so I trust he won't tell anyone my secrets.'

"Well, go on. Ask them."

The boy with the wild, green hair straightened his posture. "U- um... what in the world happened at the USJ? W- what with you defeating that monster villain, and all."

Y/n's eyes widened in shock. "I defeated the villain???"

"Yes???"

"No I didn't??? I fainted????"

"So you really don't remember, then. Must be something to do with your quirk..."

"Can you tell me what happened at least? Don't leave me in the dark, here, Izu."

Izuku shifted in his seat. He scavenged his bag for something and took out his phone. After swiping across an All Might wallpaper, he opened up a news website and showed Y/n the aforementioned event.

"How did the news even get this footage?" she said, taking in the contents of the high quality video.

"I don't know, but I think it has something to do with anime logic." said the green haired student, looking towards the camera.

"What?"

"What?" repeated Izuku, vacantly.

He paused the video and cleared his throat, "anyways, this is the part you need to see." He forwarded the news footage a few minutes ahead and stopped when it showed the Nomu holding down their teacher, and Y/n standing in front of the monster.

"AIZAWA!"

Y/n jumped over some boulders and rushed next to Aizawa, eyes swelling with tears. She looked up at the disgusting creature that caused so much pain to her guardian.

"YOU." her voice boomed  menacingly.

She tore off her eyepatch and threw it to the floor. Both of her eyes became completely black, devoid of life and any emotion at all other than rage. She made eye-contact with the bird-like monster in front of her.

"YOU ARE GOING TO SUFFER FOR YOUR ACTIONS."

"Y/n, no! You can't fight that thing! We don't know what it's capable of!" shouted Izuku worriedly from the water.

Y/n didn't even flinch. "Be quiet."

The Nomu looked like it was about to try and crush her with its enormous hand, but when it raised it, the hand was revealed to have started to disappear in chunks. Instead of being 'deleted' all at once like most other things Y/n used her quirk on, the Nomu's body seemed to slowly disappear in square pieces, as if Y/n was cutting whole sections out of the monster's flesh.

At one point, there was barely anything left of the thing, and whatever was left had deep cracks all over it. Y/n stepped closer to the Nomu and pushed the center of its torso with her hand softly. It collapsed to the ground in pieces, which also vanished right after.

Y/n calmly replaced her eye-patch on her face and blinked. Her eyes went back to normal. She looked around the place in confusion. "Did I just fall asleep in this mess??"
