"I'll show them," Uraraka declared, an dark aura surrounding her. She seemed more determined than usual to participate in such an event. She was usually so hyper and bubbly, but now she looked almost... scary.

"Mmm... sounds manly. I guess we'd better do a lot of training to prepare, then!" said Kirishima from his seat.

During lunch break, Lucas, Kaminari, Kirishima, Sero, and Bakugou sat together at a cafeteria table. They set their lunches on the table and started to eat.

This particular arrangement had been in place for a while, Lucas somehow becoming a part of the friend group despite barely talking to anyone. (In the rare moments he did, he either said something dumb, flirtatious, or mildly offensive... On some days it turned out to be a combination of all three.)

Bakugou had even started calling him by a nickname- "heart eyes", because of his uniquely shaped, white pupils.

A strangely cute nickname, but Lucas just assumed that it was hard to make an insulting nickname for someone as adorable as him.
Pink hair seemed easy to make fun of, especially when people seemed to believe it was a girly colour, but really, there were too many good things associated with the colour for anyone to bully him severely about it.

Surprisingly, Bakugou- the loudest, most obnoxious kid in class- barely made fun of him, let alone looked at him.
As the group sat in the mess hall together, he avoided Lucas's eyes at all costs. 'Weird.'

"So, Lucas! Are you gonna do any training for the Sports Festival?" Kaminari inquired while chewing something.

Lucas snapped to attention. "Uh, I don't really have any plans. Maybe we could train together?"

Kaminari excitedly swallowed his food. "Really?!"
Lucas nodded.

Kirishima took a swig of water from a plastic cup. "Hey, Reverie-kun. Now that I think about it, you're pretty secretive, aren'tcha?" The others seemed to agree. "You still haven't told us what your quirk is yet!"

"My quirk is called 'fragmentize'. Using the heat produced by my hair when I make it glow, I can reduce my body particles into glittery dust that scatter around the room. It's sort of like when a campfire lets out sparks as the wood is burnt. I can control how fine the particles get too, so if I break myself down enough, I can turn myself into an almost clear gas cloud, like this:" Lucas made his hair glow duller than usual, and his right pointer finger disintegrated, making it look like he only had four fingers.

"Woah! That's really cool!" exclaimed Kirishima.

"So what happens when you're a cloud of dust? Can you like, see everything from each particle? Like there's more than one of you?" asked Kaminari, curious.

"Well, yeah kinda. When I'm in there, everything moves super slowly, the environment is strangely glowy and sparkly, and I can use my body particles to see in different places, but it has to be one at a time." Lucas made his finger go back to normal, save a small fleck of dust which hovered in the air and landed on Kaminari's shoulder. "If I wanted to, I could have left a piece of me on each of you and be spying on everyone at all times. Especially since it's basically a microscopic grain of sand that is sentient, so washing it off is virtually impossible."

Lucas made a creepy face at everyone. Most of the students at the table thought of it as a harmless joke.

But Kaminari gulped at his wording and freakish expression. 'He could be watching us at all times...'

But as soon as it came, the look was gone. The electrically powered student started to wonder if he was going crazy, since no one else looked spooked, as if it had never happened. It reminded him of the Sprite Cranberry incident from a few weeks ago (the mere mention of the incident was enough to send him shivering).
