MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND SUICIDE AND THAT STUFF ARE THE SUBLIMAL THEMES...
To obscure or block out
To deprive of significance
To cast a shadow
To Eclipse
It doesn't just happen like that
There's the phases as you call it
You don't just see it obscured
You still see light trying to shine through
Some phases are more obvious
Like how a partial eclipse of the moon
Can so easily be mistaken
For a moon in it's crescent or at it's half
Not really that with the sun
Since always a golden ball
Of both light and warmth
It's pretty obvious
But of that moon
That doesn't hurt your eyes
That cools with touch
That is home to the rabbit
After how much it matters
How much peace it brings
It's eclipse still can silently slip by
If you hadn't seen the news
That might not make sense to many
But just talking about the eclipse
After finally hearing about it
That's hypocrisy - you didn't notice
It happens to a lot of people
Some matter for life like the sun
Some matter for peace like the moon
Yet at times just unconcerning
Of ignorance, unawareness or hypocrisy
Letting go - temporarily celestial eclipses
But is it not the same thing
That you do with people
In many cases you never knew
Some cases you turned a blind eye
And in some cases you who never spoke
Finally speak as if for all times lost
In some similar situations you mocked
Called immature and foolish
Yet when things are closer to you
You actually feel bad - hypocrite
Even if it didn't concern your personal life
It concerned others
They struggled a lot until
They tried pushing on so hard
You've finally heard and spoken out
Hypocrite - are you sure you will listen?
Will you hear an unspoken word?
Will you realise that everyone is hurting?
If you manage all this,
Will you help them through?
Will you hear them speak or even not?
Will you wait till they're gone too?
Will you let the news and autopsy speak
Of what you could have barricaded?
Or would you try and distract yourself
And reinforce that you weren't at fault?
If kith or kin, do play your part
If celebrity, do play your part
We've lost so many people... role models near and dear to mental health issues...
Suicide is not an option.
HOW MANY MORE DO WE HAVE TO LOOSE NOW...
NO ONE HAS BEEN NAMED BECAUSE I REALLY DEEPLY KNOW WE KNOW... AND HOPE THEY FINALLY GET THEIR TRULY NEEDED INNER PEACE AND HAPPINESS...
