Just when the sun began to rise
Twilight seeping through the frosted glass panes of my windows
More birds chirping than before
The smell of earth
The chill of the dew
A moment before the first rays hit
The silent click and close of a shutter
Trying to digitally preserve
Nature and her magnificence
Yet realise the meaning in pun "For Rest"
When staying in your place
Probably feeing stuck or even suffocated
Yet that lets nature show
Both her beauty and her place
Sometimes flashes capture, but otherwise, it just blinds out
They said we had one chain to break
Then our break would be over,
But we'd be out and about - free
Yet they said let's NOT break this chain
So I shall pass it on to you.
