Some collect bottles
They look fancy
Yet people collect stuff in them
Stuff that shouldn't be withheld
Like fireflies in a jar
Longing to be let loose
They keep shoving themselves
Into the walls confining them

Threatening to tip the bottle over
Trying to escape
So like they were convicts
Held back by force

Show someone your live lamp
They'll touch it admire it
They'll also get jealous - trust me
But then show a kid

Unbiased mind
Immediately putting his bottle opening lesson to practice
He'll unscrew the cap
Let them loose and admire their exodus

While you lose your cool
Yell at them
Try to get them in
Despite having been hurting the bioluminescent creatures
Someone unbiased is your pick
Who will you let to unscrew the jars
Who will break through and do it
Who will liberate your emotions
Picking gives extreme anxiety
Having to grant access tops that
Then comes that slow start
Then finally the tidal wave.

There's too many bottles
Will they stay through to open them all
You'll never know
I've been wrong too

It makes me close my jars tighter
I can't risk going wrong again
Or could I? It's better to let loose
Would I take a chance?

Would it just take one more?
Will there be another wrong one?
No one can tell
It's a leap of faith

Which to open first
Who to open to
How to open which bottle
And how to save yourself
There are way too many concerns
You won't move ahead
But you have to
The fireflies will soon die in here

With everything sealed off
Time doesn't heal
That's why you need people
That's why you still need to trust
Take all the time you need
But trust and give a kid the jar
Let him screw it open
Watch his eyes light up in amazement

Trust someone and let them open you
Warn them about the fizz so they open it slow and unshaken
Let them see the drops pour out
Fireflies consuming all attention ~Zeta #poetry

In the end you'll feel better even with all the past pain
It's painstaking and extremely time consuming
But it's gonna be worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears
You'll be on that yellow brick road

This was inspired by my first ever bottle of milkshake from Keventers.
It read, "Express your bottled emotions"
