Chapter 5

Mandy's Pov

"Okay class get your notebook and we will have a quiz" Sabi ko sa kanila. Sabay sulat sa white board ng iqi-quiz nila. Narinig ko naman ung iba't-ibang pag angal nila. Meron dito sinasabi na hindi pa daw sya nakareview. Zero na daw sya sa quiz. Baka mahirap daw ung quiz at kung ano-ano pa.

I'm just writing a 20 questions about our topic yesterday. Take note ha topic yesterday. It means it's still fresh to their mind. I know they can answer these questions correctly.

I am busy writing their quiz at the white board when I hear these loud voices of Hailey's classmates. Yes it's their section. I don't know what are they fighting or shouting with each other but what the hell. There's a teacher in front of them!

I stopped writing at the board and intently looked at them. 

"If you don't wanna stop talking, feel free to get out on my class. It's your quiz for Pete's sake and your attitude's like that? What are you thinking grade 10?! Are we playing here?! Are'nt you making this serious?" Galit na sabi ko sa kanila. Wala sa sariling napatingin naman ako kay hailey na nakatingin sa'kin. Pero nung tumingin ako bigla syang yumuko. 

Halos wala akong narinig na ingay habang nag ququiz sila.. Sinasabi ko sa kanila. Mabait ako. Pero wag nyo ako gagalitin. I don't tolerate those kinds of attitude. Respect and Trust are the most valuable words for me that you shouldn't break or forget.

Maraming nagtatanong sakin about sa quiz nila pero ni isa wala akong sinagot. Nananahimik lang ako dito sa harap at pinagmamasdan sila.

"Don't you dare cheat at this quiz!" Paalala ko sa kanila. Ung iba kasi sa kanila di nag aaral. Umaasa nalang sa pangongopya especially those boys at the back. They thought, I knew nothing about their attitude in my class. About how they cheat in quizzes. But they're wrong. Coz I hundred percent knew what they are doing. I'm just waiting for their next cheat and I'll talk to them already. Hindi lang sa subject ko sila nag checheat, kundi sa iba pa! That's so inappropriate! That's really pissing me off.

Inis na inis na ako ng mga oras na to ng biglang magsalita si Hailey

"M- maam? " halos pabulong na sabi ni hailey kaya napatingin ako sa kanya. Here she goes again. She looks nervous. Nakakatakot ba talaga ako magalit? grr

"Can you please come down ms. Saavedra? You're stuttering because of nervousness. Di naman kita kakainin e bat takot na takot ka"

I dont know why, but by just hearing Hailey's voice, my head and temperature automatically calmed . Idk. Maybe her voice is just like a lullaby to my ears.

Nakita kong medyo natawa si Hailey pati mga classmates nya dahil sa sinabi ko. Kaya nilagay ko ulit sa poker face ung mukha ko.

"Sorry maam" 

Psh

"By the way, why are you calling me?" medyo masungit na tanong ko. Doesn't it looks so unfair? Kasi hindi ko kinausap ung ibang students ko na nagtatanong.? I ignored them. Pero bat si Hailey di ko magawang iignored? They might think I have favoritism, but I honestly don't have. Being a teacher is just like being fair

"Maam, I can't get the correct answer at number 16. Ahm maybe there have a wrong given?" 

I quickly look at my paper and next to the board. Ah yeah. I copied it wrong. It should be 24, but why the hell did I wrote number 29???

"Oh, sorry. Here"

I wrote the correct number and sat again to my chair. My eyes were roaming around, when it automatically stop at where Hailey is. I can't help but to stare at her cause of her looks right now. She looks so cute. She's wearing this blue jacket and her hair wasn't in a hair tie so it's obstructing on her face. Actually, bawal talaga ung mga nakalugay ung hair, pero hinahayaan na muna kapag first subject siguro kasi basa pa.

She's really serious while answering her quiz and I can say that she's really smart. No wonder she became the top 1 from grade 7 or 8 I think.

Maya maya pa narinig kong nagsalita sya.

"Janah do you have a hair tie? " mahinang sabi nya pero narinig ko parin

Malamang, naka focus ka lang naman sa kanya

Oh, shut up brain.

At buti nalang meron si janah kasi mukang di sya maka focus sa pag sasagot dahil sa makulit nyang buhok.

I was just silent in our whole class and they knew that it's a sign of me being angry.

"Pass your notebook" I coldly said

"Maam di pa po kami tapos" narinig kong sabi ni Andy 

"I said pass your notebook! Finish or not finish now! I already give you the whole 50 minutes of my class yet you still didnt finish the quiz? Pass it! " 

I saw them silently passing their notebooks after I said those words.

"Diego can you help me bring those notebooks at the library?"

Di ko naman kasi kaya lahat un

"Sige po maam"

After that, I get out of the room without any words

Hailey's pov

Luh, nagalit si maam mandy and as usual tahimik lang kami pag kaalis ni maam. Baka mamaya madagdagan pa galit samin non, ibagsak kami lahat.

"Hailey, nagalit si maam" nag aalalang sabi ni jamie.

"Kaya nga iingay ba naman eh. Di ko pa tuloy natapos ung quiz"  nakasimangot na sabi ni janah

Nako, kaya naman pala umuungot e isa pala sa di nakatapos sa quiz. Maya maya pa dumating na next teacher namin sa subject na science.

Mabait to si sir. Tapos patawa din. Nag lecture lang kami about electronic condiguration which is naaral na namin simula pa nung grade 8. Un nga lang mas complicated na ngayon.

"Okay goodbye grade 10 don't forget your assignments for tomorrow. Okay, lets pray."

Aaaa, at last. It's recess time. Excited ako palagi mag recess kasi kakain na. And another one is palaging nasa library si maam pag recess. Di ko nga alam bat ayaw nya sa office nya. May kanya kanyang office naman bawat teachers dito.

Tumatambay kami sa lobby pag recess tapos katapat lang non ung library palagi ko tuloy nakikita si maam mandy.

After namin mag pray is dumiretso agad kami sa canteen para kumain. And as usual hindi mawawala ang favorite kong french fries at c2. Si Janah at Jaimee naman nag siopao at softdrink.  Nagpunta na  kami sa lobby pagtapos namin bumili.  And it looks like maam Mandy's class is not yet finish wala pa sya sa library e

Err, uhm,  Am I too obvious? I honestly don't know what the hell and why the hell am I dong this. I always wanna see Maam Mandy e. Why is that? Maybe because she's our adviser? Yah, maybe.
