can hardly keep my eyes closed

my courage? disposed.

went upstairs to fall asleep

ended up watching TV

can't sleep in day or night

but I want to get it right

can I have a nice dream

without a nightmare or scream?

read a book till two am,

trying to get some REM

hear the voices instead

lying under my bed

see the demon in the corner

and ignoring the horror

don't think I'll ever rest

although I try my best

but I won't ever deny

that sometimes I cry
