I can see us slow dancing in the kitchen,

like lovers do in an old-school romance,

gazing softly into each other's eyes,

as I brush her cheek with my hand

I see her when I fall asleep,

wrapped in silken stardust sheets,

the sun catching on her lovely smile

and her curly brunette hair gone wild

is the sweetest sight to see

and the nicest fantasy

I just hope she thinks of me

the way I'd like to be:

with a sparkle in her eyes,

with a poem that she writes,

with a song she sings or a gift she brings

or an "I love you" in a single glance

I just want to mean something

or for us to have a chance.
