Having a baby~a headcannon🤍

-your baby was unplanned, of course

-you and JJ, being the sexually active teens you were, sometimes lacked care

-so one day, at 18, you found out you were pregnant

-JJ freaked out at first but learnt that support was the most important thing you needed

-he went with you to tell your parents and that was a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions lemme tell u

-your mom was shocked obviously, but she immediately knew the right thing to say and stayed pretty calm considering the circumstances

-your dad, however, went MENTAL

-he shouted at JJ, which made you shout at your dad, which made your mom shout at you, which made you then shout at your mom

-jj knew it was best to apologise and then stay quiet until everyone took a big ass breath

-he reassured your parents that he would raise an amazing child with you

-"i'll do whatever it takes to make this easier mr and mrs Y/S/N" he said softly to which your dad made a backstabbing comment about the way JJ was raised

-"how are you going to take care of a kid when all you do is drink and do drugs every night"

-as for JJ's dad, well as expected it didn't go well at all

-JJ said he wanted to do it alone because he was scared of his dad's reaction and the fact that he may hurt you

-he hit JJ badly several times. JJ came back with a split lip, a black eye and a swollen, bloody cheek. You immediately broke down, telling him you were "so unbelievably sorry" that this happened

-"don't you ever apologise Y/N" he said to you

-he sold the phantom without his dad knowing to pay for the baby. This was such an incredibly gesture since the phantom was the only thing JJ could be proud of

-when it came to your pregnant days, JJ became a completely different person : he drunk less beer, stopped smoking weed, started cooking for you, worked day in day out, and even did the shopping (which is his least favourite thing ever)

-the Pogues all helped change John B's father's office into a baby room. During those days, JJ walked up to you likely 20 times to kiss your growing belly and make sure you were feeling okay with walking around for so long

-he was with you during the birth of your baby girl, Y/D/N, holding your hand and encouraging you

-he told you that you were brave and that you were doing so good

-JJ was so soft when he first held the baby : he cried basically

-i think he cried because it was half tears of joy that you two got through the pregnancy and ended up with a beautiful healthy girl and half tears of nerves because he wanted to be the best father he could be in order to put his own father to sham

-JJ would ALWAYS get up if Y/D/N cried at any time of the day. She'd wake you both up, as well as John B, but JJ would kiss your head and tell you to stay where you are

-"You go back to sleep baby, I'll get her"

-sometimes you'd ignore him and creep into the room to see JJ rocking her, kissing her little hands and talking to her softly. She'd always stop crying as a result

-you were always first up in the morning though since JJ was usually up like 4 times during the night

-you shuffled over, making sure not to shake his arm that draped over your torso, and admired his peaceful sleeping state

-you ran your fingers through his hair and watched his little puffs escape from his mouth before Y/D/N started to wail again

-he'd immediately go to get up but you'd remind him that he needs a lie in. He'd remind you that he has a shift at work and needs to earn some extra money to pay for Y/D/N's new dress

-JJ was funny when he tried to change her nappy. He just COULD NOT do it at all. He'd get all frustrated and heated, throwing it on the floor and calling after John B for help

-your daughter had JJ's bright blue eyes and his blonde hair. She had your nose and mouth

-despite the many arguments you guys had during the stressful baby days just because of how tired you were, JJ was still happiest when he got home from work to see you and Y/D/N playing

-he beat up A LOT of kooks when they passed rude comments. Never when you or the baby were with him. He'd just come home all bloody and angry, telling you that he won't let them speak to you like that
