Baby tears🤍

It was 3am, or maybe 4, you didn't even know, when you and JJ woke up to your baby girl Alice crying from her crib. This was an every day occurrence, and you two took it in turns to get up for her depending on how busy either of you had been the previous day.

It was your turn to get up this time.

JJ's arms were wrapped around you as he spooned you, his chest pressed closely against your back. You were holding onto his arms before you felt them loosen from your body.

He placed a kiss on your shoulder before beginning to get up.

You frowned, turning yourself around and catching his wrist in your hand before he could go any further. You squeezed your eyes shut before opening them again to see JJ looking down at you.

"I got it" You said, wiggling yourself up.

JJ sat back down on the bed and rested his hand on your shoulder, stopping you from shuffling up any more.

"It's okay baby. You stay in bed, you had a busy evening" He replied, the hand that was once on your shoulder now running up your neck and to you jaw, cupping it gently. His thumb rubbed your skin, creating a wash of tiredness that spread across your body.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah" He smiled.

With a quick peck on your forehead, JJ got up and walked over to see to your little one.

You tried to settle back down, but it was impossible to resist watching JJ with Alice. He was so gentle, so calm.

He got her out of the crib carefully, cradling her in his arms. He bounced his foot slightly to lull her back to sleep, not taking his eyes off of his beautiful baby girl.

"It's okay, it's okay" He said to her ever so quietly. Her cries died down a bit, but you could still hear some little noises.

"You won't let mommy and daddy stay up after 4 huh? Want us to start the day early?" He whispered. You smiled at them both. Every time you saw him with her, you just fell in love more and more (if that was even possible.

Then her little noises stopped, and you figured she had fallen asleep again.

Somehow, JJ would always manage to get her back to sleep in an instant. You, however, usually take more than 10 minutes to settle her back down.

"There we go" He murmured softly, placing a kiss to her head before putting her back into the crib and staying by its side a couple of seconds to make sure she was definitely all okay again.

He climbed back into bed, opening his arms out for you to snuggle in to.

You shuffled into him again, placing your hand on his bare chest and tracing little patterns with your index finger. He ran his fingers through your hair like he always did until the both of you fell back asleep.
