WORDY OF YOUR TIME

It's easier said than done

After it's all said and done.
Would we have said more than we've done?
In that final hour
When our tired hearts have no power
When you are summoned before the throne.
What will our lives here on earth have shown?
After the trumpet is blown.
We say we are the first and not the last
But are we among the first to show up in class
Or did you not mean it when you said today will be your first and last
Have you not heard being the best comes before being the first
Have you not read that it's as easy as ABC and as hard as a diamond
Have you not said that you are changing for the better

Well, my friend perhaps
You should be more confident and assertive
Perhaps you should be more like my little sister, who dances with her elbows whenever she says no!
Perhaps you should be more like my little brother, who shrugs his shoulder whenever you ask he something he doesn't know
Perhaps the next time you say Amen!
You should really let it be so.
We get that the world is hard
Well so is a diamond, yet it shines.
Do you not see the sunrise and set.
Telling you to rise and be your best
Are we getting a lot of things done
Or we're doing a lot of things for fun
