Chapter 2

Sergei Argo Valentin's POV

Nakatingin lang ako sa labas habang papunta ng Restaurant. At di ako mapalagay, okay lang kaya anak ko, magkakaproblema kaya sila ni Vince sana naman hindi. I treat Vince like my son I don't want them to feel alienated with each other. I want them to feel at ease with each other, malay natin mainlove sila sa isa't isa. I laughed at that thought.

"You seem happy sir, is there something good that happened today?"

Tumingin naman ako sa kanya.

"Sheesh Nat tayo lang naman nandito. I told you to call me Val when were alone, we've been friends for a long time before you worked for me you know." sabi ko ng may bahid na pagtatampo.

Kahit malayo ang edad namin we're friends since we were in high school.

That's another story to tell in the future.

"Your trying to play cupid again aren't you. I guess old habits die hard huh. "

Tumawa naman ako sa sinabi nya

"Hay....alam mo naman mga anak kong yon parang walang planong bumuo ng pamilya. Yung panganay at pangatlo ko masyadong tutok sa trabaho at career, yung dalawa naman masyadong palikero. Di ako mabibigla kung makabuntis ang dalawang yun. At pagnangyari yun kukutusin ko talaga ang dalawang yun. Malay ko ba kung saan sila nagmana, di naman ako ganun ah...."

And I started ranting, he was listening to me while he was driving. I know he is because I can see him looking at the rearview mirror every once in a while.

"......at alam mo ba ngumiti sa akin si Vince, ngayon ko lang siya nakitang ngumiti sa akin. Ang cute talaga niya pag ngumiti.

"Haha. Your more cuter." pabulong nyang sabi

I immediately looked at the window on my right side to hide the blush on my face.

"A-ang sagwa naman. Ang tanda k-ko na para tawaging c-cute hahaha." I nervously laughed.

"Damn kitten you will be the death of me."

Mahina lang ang pagkasabi nya pero rinig ko pa rin.

"B-bilisan mo na nga! Baka m-malate pa tayo."

I can really feel the intense blush creeping to my face.

Tumawa lang sya ng mahina at nag patuloy sa pagmamaneho.

Vince's POV

Naglalakad na ako papuntang elevator nang maabutan ko si Lucy na pababa pa lang.

"Hi Vince andun na si sir sa office hinihintay ka, bilisan mo baka magalit sya pagtumagal ka pa."

Tumango na lang ako bilang pagsangayon at pumasok na sa elevator.

Nang makarating na ako ay kumatok muna ako sa pintuan. I heard a soft come in before i went inside.

Napansin ko agad ang bagong boss ko na tumitingin sa mga wine sa loob ng office.

"Excuse me sir, lucy said you would like to speak with me." i asked

Tiningnan muna nya bago ibalik ulit ang tingin sa mga wine.

"Yes I would like to have all the staff's information today, also the sales this company accumulated in the past 5 years. The manager walked me through some stations in this building, but I would like to observe all of the employee's work place today. Do you understand."

"Yes sir I will get the information you need. Would you like anything anything else."

"No that's all. You can go."

I bowed a little before walking through the door.

After almost half an hour, I finally finished the paper. And i immediately entered the room after knocking at his door.

"Sir, these are all the informations regarding the employees and our sales, and i also included the names of our investors and their company's background."

Tumayo sya at naglakad papunta sa pintuan.

"That's good thank you, just put it on the table so you can accompany me while I visit the employee's workplace."

Nilagay ko naman ang mga papeles sa lamesa at sumunod na ako sa kanya.

I won't fill in with all the details but the observation we did was good. Every one was shocked though but they couldn't do anything about it, other than that there were minimal mistakes made by the employees, lucky he just dismissed them.

After that I went back to my work station. Di ko na namalayan na out na pala namin kung di pa ako ininform ni Lucy. Ilang minuto lumipas lumabas na ang boss. Hinarap ko naman sya at yumuko.

"Sir, may kailangan pa po ba kayo?" I asked

"No that's ok, you can go home now. I'm going now as well"

"Okay Sir, shall I accompany you down"

Tumango lang sya at naglakad papuntang elevator, nakasunod lang ako sa kanya.

Nang makarating na kami sa baba, sumalubong sa amin ang isang marangyang sasakyan sa labas na sigurado akong sundo ng boss.

"Where do you live, I can give you a ride home." sabi nya na ikinataka ko.

"That's ok sir, I still have something to do before I go home. Thank you for asking though." umiiling kong sabi

Tumango lang uli sya at sumakay na sa kotse.

After a while I finally arrived at my apartment. I changed my clothes first then went to sleep. Nang magising ako chineck ko ang cellphone ko at nakitang nagtext sakin ang isa kong kaibigan para daw magyayang uminom, i usually reject their offer to go out but I have the urge to go, di pa naman ako pagod kaya ok lang. It's good to go outside once in a while.

Kumuha na ako ng twalya bago pumunta ng banyo para maligo. Pagkatapos ay nagbihis ako ng isang plain black tshirt na pinaresan ko ng isang leather jacket at maong pants, kinuha ko ang susi na nasa lamesa at sinuot ang sneakers ko bago lumabas.

Pumunta ako ng parking lot para kunin ang motorbike ko. I may not look like it but i enjoy ridding a motorbike than a scooter. I just love the sense of thrill whenever I ride it, and it's like I became a totally different person.

When i found it, i immediately took out the keys and started going to the bar. Once i arrived I parked my motorbike in the parking lot then proceeded to go inside. Bumugad saakin ang maingay na tugtog at nagsasayawang mga tao. I had a hard time squizing my way through the crowd and after I made it i finally saw my two friends talking to each other.

"Vin ang tagal mo naman dumating halos isang oras na ako naghihintay sayo dito." bago ako umupo narinig kong nagsalita si Neil.

"Ikaw naman Neil, malay mo busy si Vin, alam mo naman tong best friend natin masyadong workaholic" pagtatanggol naman sakin ni Chris.

Neil Ciello Ricafort is my friend since elementary, he is a famous photographer now. While my other friend Chris Rivel Sandoval works here on this bar as a bartender. Nagsasideline din syang waiter pag umaga.

"Your more of a workaholic than me you know, and I just woke up when i saw your text. Just give me red wine Chris" sagot ko naman sa kanila

"May di maganda bang nangyari sa trabaho nyo." Tanong ni chris bago ilagay ang baso sa harap ko.

Sasagot sana ako ng makita ko sa di kalayuan ang bagong boss ko. Na mukhang nakatingin rin sakin.
