Suddenly we're going down, down, down. A soft, blue light surrounds us in an empty, white void. I smile at memories. I will soon be home. I remember my parents comforting me when someone at school made fun of me. Their shock when they had to leave, but how they would have turned themselves in if I didn't want to go. Their smiles when I made a joke. Just them. I had good parents. My happy thoughts are put to an end. We abruptly plummet down, down from the sky, to fast for wings or our weak telekinesis to stop us.

The wind catches us. I realize it's Vapor's work. His Galorkininesis! Vapor won the ability lottery, being a Leaper and a Gale. We gently float down to the ground. I breathe a sigh of relief as I feel the soft grass. I'm not a huge fan of flying, or being high up in general, but I don't have a phobia or anything. I start to wonder if that's still the case for him as Stefan begins to kiss the ground repetitively, and Durpner smirks. "You hate the sky that much?"

Stefan ignores him, planting one final kiss onto the lush grass as Pustyn giggles. Grinning, I scan our surroundings. Tall, leafy trees for at least a mile. Tiny hot pink flowers called Millsprouts scattered around the moist soil. Bushes and birds.

"This place is perfect for sneak attacks," I realize aloud, turning back to the group. "Spread out, guys." I won't let anyone stop me from getting to Vlamkorlar. I need to go home. I can just feel it. I won't last one more second, hiding in alleyways. I think about my family. I have to find them. One of them has to be alive. Even if I have to search the whole universe, I won't give up. Never. Stefan looks at me.

"So, what now? Where's your cit-"

"Hands up, demon! And you others, too!" a tall elf -who must have been spying on us from the shadows- I realize grimly, shouts. An orb of crystal clear water materializes in his hand, and he swirls it around and around in an alluring way. We all begrudgingly obey, and I can't help but stare at the pretty sphere of water. "Full names and creature?" He says, stepping closer.

"Demon, I guess," Stefan begins. "My name's Stefan-" He stops to look at me again. I nod. "Stefan Leibovich Sparr."

Pustyn slowly steps forward.

"Vampire, Pustyn." She noticeably doesn't include her last or middle name.

"Vapor Kenfroal Fernelf, elf."

"Durpner. Vampire." Durpner says, not including any other information, just like Pustyn. "Don't think that hurting us will be so easy, if that's what you're planning." He adds, sneering at the elf soldier.

"Athena Willow Ambrosia, human."

It's my turn now. I glare at this elf, trying to guess who he is. He must be a soldier; judging by his navy blue and white uniform. Either way, I'm not going to say my real, birth name. "Shadow. Elf."

The elf narrows his eyes and mutters, "False."

"Your real name!" he demands, stalking in a close circle around me. I keep a calm composure. He's forcing nothing out of me. Suddenly, eyes widen, and something flashes in his expression.

"Wait! Arkera?" My eyebrows shoot up in shock, and he gives me a triumphant smile, eyes gleaming in a way- in a way I've seen before.

Wait. Do I recognize him? I scan my memories, trying to focus on a dim vision of a figure. Furrowing my brow, I stare at him, and the longer my gaze focuses on him, the more I recognize him. "Wittnor?"
