Game (+ mini review)

I've been playing this one mobile game a lot more in the past few days and I like it. It's called Cytus II and it's one of those rhythm games where you tap the notes on the beat. The stages have different levels of difficulty: easy, hard, chaos, and glitch (which I think can only be unlocked by paying, which is dumb). I was happy because I got a perfect 1000000 score (a "million master" or MM as they call it) on a hard level for the first time on this song:

(In the video, notice how they got an almost perfect score because they got a "good" on 1 note. To get a perfect score, you have to hit perfect on every note.)

Later I retried the level just to make sure my perfect score wasn't a fluke, and I too got perfect on every note except for a "good" on just 1 note.

Anyway I do recommend, the soundtrack is amazing (some of my favorite songs are "Bullet waiting for me", "Deadly slot machine", "Grimoire of crimson", and "Alexandrite") and while the gameplay is a bit hard at first, it becomes easier with practice. It's just a matter of retrying the easier stages and getting the hang of the game, and then working up to the harder ones. The story line is a bit confusing (I'd have some trouble trying to explain it, plus I don't want to spoil).

The only bad thing about the game is all the extra features you can buy with irl money. Half of the characters (and their songs) are locked by paywalls, as well as the glitch levels and other songs by unlocked characters. I checked some of the prices- it's $10 to unlock one character, and $5 for 5 songs in each of the "song pack" things. There are 10 characters that can be unlocked, and 14 song packs you can buy. If you want all the content of the game, that would cost $170. It stinks because I'm a free player, so I don't get to experience the full game. The music would've sounded amazing, which is salt in the wound. Of course this isn't a problem if you're allowed to buy things, but I'm not. Lucky you ;-;

Overall great game, I do recommend.
