I groan and sit next to Jack

I see him realize that Paige was there and he started to put the act on.

"Eggy Mayonnaise" He whispered into my ear. He had been doing this every 15 minutes, whispering random words into my ear as if he were whispering something romantic. I would giggle and 15 minutes later it would repeat.

"Flowers of a tomato bean"

"Chunky apple blades"

"You're beautiful" I whispered into Lana's ear. I quickly moved away from her ear as I just realized what I said to her.

I see her eyes widen and she blushes.

I give her the 'I didn't mean to say that' look.

Lana is beautiful but nothing compared to Paige.

She nodded quickly and we just focused back on the work.

After school finished I went to meet up with Matt so we could work on the project at his house.

I had texted Madison and she said that Grayson and her were getting some froyo.

"We have to use your car" Matt says stopping me.

"Why?" I say turning to him.

"I kind of don't have one" He says laughing softly

"Matt it's ok" I laugh.

We walk over to my car and get in.

"So why don't you have a car?" I ask trying to break the silence.

"I share a car with my mom but shes always using it " He shrugs.

I nod and he directs me to his house.

Once we get there he tells me that his parents are working late so they won't be home.

We go up into his room and talk about the project.

I look over at Matt and see he's looking sad.

"Hey Matt you ok?"

He looks up at me and does a fake smile.

"Yeah I'm fine"

"No you're not Matt, what's wrong?" I say sitting closer to him.

"You like Jack don't you?"

I sigh and decide to tell him about the whole 'fake girlfriend' thing.

"So you don't like Jack? Well I mean in that way." He says with hope in his face.

I nod and he smiles.

I smile back and continue with the project.

I'm in the middle of writing my essay when Matt suddenly takes my pen.

"Hey I was using that!" I say trying to grab it back.

"Sorry I just need to use it for oneee second" He says about to write.

"Not on my watch" I say reaching over to him

"You don't even have a watch" He laughs dodging me.

"Shut up, you know what I meant" I say about to grab the pen from his hand when he grabs my wrist.

I stop and furrow my eyebrows looking at him. He just sits there looking at me.

"What?" I say loosening my position.

"I never really got to look at you properly" He says studying my face.

He runs his hand lightly over my cheek.

This gave me a chance to look at him too. He was honestly quite attractive.

Out of nowhere he leans in and kisses me.

I lightly place my hands on his neck and kiss back.

He breaks away and looks me in the eyes.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that"

"It's ok Matt" I laugh leaning in kissing him again

Well maybe this will help me get over whatever i've been feeling for Jack, right?

I break away and check the time.

"Shit Matt I gotta go home" I say standing up.

"Right! I'll walk you out" He says standing up.

Once we get to my car I open the door but turn around and look at Matt.

"That was fun" I smile before getting in my car and driving away.

2 weeks later

It's been about 2 weeks now and Jack and I have been acting like we have a thing.

I didn't tell Jack, or anyone really about what happened between me and Matt.

Today Jacks's meant to ask me to be his 'girlfriend' and I can tell Paige is already jealous but he wants her begging.

I've been falling for Jack more and more, but my feelings towards Matt are slowly growing aswell.

The things he says are fake but they seem so real.

"Hey Lana" Jack says coming up to me and kissing my cheek.

"When is it going to happen?" I whisper to him.

"Soon" He whispers back.

Out of no where Jack runs to his locker and comes back with his hands behind his back.

He goes and jumps up onto a bench. Everyone comes towards him to see whats going on, even Paige.

I push through to the front and realize what he's doing.

He kneels down on one knee and pulls flowers from behind him.

"Lana Williamson, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks smiling.

I turn and see Paige watching closely.

"Yes!" I say jumping up and hugging him.

"Nice one" I whisper into his ear.

"Thanks" He whispers back.

We release from the hug and everyone goes back to what they were doing.

I look over at Paige who face was covered in jealousy. She raised her eyebrow, smirked then walked off.

"Do you think she's jealous?" Jack says.

"Definitely."
