I lay on my bed staring at my ceiling with earphones in my ears. I had just finished my homework and chores and decided that I just wanted to chill out for a bit.

"Alana!" I hear my dad call from downstairs. I run down to see my dad, mom and little sister Madison.

"What's up?" I say looking at all of them curiously. My dad takes a deep breath and smiles.

"Alana honey, I got offered this fantastic promotion that'll pay me more," He smiles and steps closer. I smile back and give him a hug.

"That's amazing dad! I'm so happy for you! Did you accept it?" I ask.

"Yes, but there is one thing" He says as his face turns serious.

"We have to move to Nebraska" My smile fades quickly and my eyes widen.

"N-Nebraska?" I stutter.

He nods and my heart sinks.
