The only sign of her arrival at the masquerade was the squeaking of the giant door and the clicking of heels on the marble floor.

Everything about her screamed beauty and strength. An aura so strong that every person in the room would stop what they were doing just to be a witness to what she was.

She stood at the end of the hallway - her hair,  the darkest brown,  falling down in cascades only to stop just a few inches from her waist. Her dark brown eyes striking - a courtesy of the black  mask she was wearing. High cheekbones and full red lips.

She was a queen. And she was here to show people just that.

Numerous heads bowed in her direction as she walked down the hallway. She gave a soft smile to everyone in return as she made her way to the one place where she felt most at  home.

Besides him.

She gave him the brightest smile as he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"You look beautiful, Avyanna."
