I steal a glance at him because I'm not to sure about my response, but when I see his dead glare looking at Khanyi, I know it's definitely true. Thinking about it is hilariously pleasing, who knew the arrogant man once had pissed his pants because he was terrified? I thought nothing ever terrifies him.
"I'm done with this game," he gets up from his chair and motions to my direction.
"But we're not done," Khanyi whines whlie getting a full blown laughter from the guests, including myself.
"I guess we're done, sorry," I get up and shrug.
Nathi and I walk hand in hand as we move around to thank everyone for showing up at our surprise baby and braidal shower, I'm even surprised to see Mdu's wife here. But I'm grateful for her presence.
I'm overwhelmed that everyone went through so much trouble just to please Nathi and I . I mean such people are rare and I couldn't be more thankful.
"Jabu is here?" I whisper to Nathi as we make our way to the far end of the garden.
"Don't act surprised," he mutters as we sit on the couch. "You know they're dating," he points at Bongi who keeps stealing glances at Jabu's direction.
I laugh in response knowingly. It's quite flattering and funny how they both keep behaving like teenagers. I guess Jabu is no longer going back overseas.
I nestle my head on his neck and I let his scent fill my nostrils ever so pleasantly.
"Can it be Saturday already," he relaxes his back further back on the couch and his arm circles my belly.
That's when the babies kick for the thousand times. It hurts when they kick, and I bury my face further on his crook so I don't focus entirely on the pain.
We both remain in that position while the movements of the people move ever so gradually.
I honestly can't wait for Saturday too. He'll be fully mine when that day comes.
"We still have company, you know," I announce.
He groans pathetically. "They should leave."
"And you should follow them," Nathi's mom comments behind us, making me jump in awe.
When the hell did she get here?
"Mama!" Nathi whines annoyingly sitting back straight up.
"You look adorable my baby," she compliments me while I get up smiling sheepishly.
"Thank you, mama," I hug her.
"I'm sorry to disturb but I need to talk to this brat. We're about to leave, it's getting late."
"Take your time, mama. I was trying to escape anyway," I utter jokingly and Nathi rolls his eyes at me.
I let my legs control my movements, and I smile at whoever I pass. I catch a glimpse of Siya and what catches my attention most is the girl his standing with near the swimming pool. They both look too cozy and its evident that his into her.
Never have I thought I'd see Siya captivated by a woman.
"Bitches my Bitches," I announce as soon as I join them at the lounge. It's so unlike them to be sitted indoors.
"Hey!" they all chant at once.
"You look pretty," Enhle nudges me and smiles.
"Thanks. You're not to bad yourself."
"We've been trying to get Bongi drunk," Enhle mumbles.
And I wonder why is that.
"She doesn't wanna share her story," Khanyi complains.
