Andrea: my feelings are telling me that i can't go another day without you.

After I read her text, a huge smile spread across my face. My first instinct was to get into my car and drive over to see her right away, but I realized I couldn't do that. So I decided to FaceTime her.

She answered and I noticed she was laying in her bed, a sad smile on her face. "Hi, Shawn."

"Can I sing a Sam Smith song to you?" I ask her without even saying hello. I liked to get straight to the point sometimes.

She let out a quiet laugh. "Sure, go ahead."

I started to sing part of "Lay Me Down" and closed my eyes as the lyrics left my mouth. I heard her breathing as I sang it quietly so I didn't wake my family up.

When I finished, I opened my eyes to see her looking at me with awe. "You're fucking beautiful." she said.

"You're flawless." I tell her.

"We're a mess." She sighs.

"Yeah," I agree, "but at least we are something."
