Chapter 12 - A Certain Confidant Trick

"Seriously? You're gonna make fun of me when you still have trouble with directions. But then again I guess I can be somewhat impressed today to see you along after all." Mara notes looking around behind Li Mei.

"I came here along! After all, I got this cell phone thingy with me this time!" Li Mei said, flashing her cell phone that displayed a GPS app.

"Li Mei finally gave smartphones a chance, I thought I'll never see the day." Mara said with her eyes brightened up.

"Tch! Whatever!! ... Anyways," Li Mei's face turned red and her fingers started fidgeting together, "didn't you and Jeong... say that... all I had to do was give my number... and the other person supposed to... call back?"

"Or text why? Did you already give your number to a boy?"

"Tch! Now that you mentioned it you should keep up with it so I and your friends don't have to walk you around everywhere." Tedashii says, turning his chair aside to stare directly at Li Mei.

She looked down dumbfounded just realizing Tedashii's presents. "Tedashii?!" Li Mei jump back fluster as if she saw an spider. She scan his clean arm from where she wrote her number on and slumped down from complete defeat after realizing he already wash it since yesterday.

"Eh seriously? Never mind maybe I could have considered that a break for once from you seeing me... but now though you see me." Tedashii's comment suddenly sparked her up but suddenly cut her self off from Mara's study stare.

"OMG you two know each other? That's definitely a consequence since I've been saved by both of you at different times! Are all the superheroes hanging out with one another?"

"Nope just a consequence we're not even friends!" Li Mei said shrugging her shoulders.

"...Oh." Tedashii thought back on his rude comment back at the shopping center feeling guilty.

"Anyways what are you doing with Mara-Chan!? You better not be up to no good Tedashiiii!"

"Easy we just met!!" Tedashii cried out awaiting for a spark of rainbow blows. But to his surprise opening his eyes to see no radiant light, or heat."

Li Mei made a sudden concerned look of despair look. "You know I've heard some real nasty rumors of UFO's kidnapping Espers so it's smart of you to stick together. Sorry for being so intriguing, I'll be on my way..."

"Hey... have a seat Li Mei-Mei-Chan!" Mara quickly requests bowing her head once more.  "We weren't on a date or anything I was just thanking him for yesterday."

Tedashii scratches his head, feeling guilty, "Please, have a seat."

"Oh... even you?" Li Mei's eyes widened but nodded and took a seat with the two. "Tedashii helped you yesterday?"

"Yeah I got attack by a group of espers the other day and he came and help... though things kinda turned for the worst for both of us and well the rest of the story was the story that he filled out."

"I see... dang, you too..." Li Mei said holding her glass of water tightly.

Tedashii noticed that familiar faint frown she gave since yesterday. Before he could ask, Mara continued on and saids in english, "Damn espers they think they can do whatever they want." Tedashii stared at her once more and felt and related to her comment with a faint frown.

"Hmm?" Li Mei tilts her head fluster while scratching her cheek, "You said something?"

Mara quickly reverted to Li Mei's response then smiled and said in Japanese, "Sorry I've been worried about the rumors that sparked on recently, there's been quite some intriguing things going on right around the Daihaseisai preparations."
