I'm awake before Peeta so I just stay still and stare at him until he finally wakes.
"Good morning" he grumbles
"Morning" I reply
We get up and make our way to the dining cart. Effie is already waiting for us and is only overjoyed to see us walk in with sleepy eyes and tired bodies..... sense the sarcasm.
"Well you two look rough" she says.
"Well we don't get up at 4 in the morning to paint our faces and curl our wigs unlike some people" Peeta says sarcastically. Wow I guess I we do rub off on eachother.
"Well I never" Effie says shocked.
"I'm sorry Effie I don't know where that came from" Peeta apologises.
I almost choke on my food the minute he says it because I know what this is. I look up into Peetas face and see his jaw tighten.
"Effie leave now" I order her.
"Excuse me ?" She asks confused.
"YOUR A MUTT" Peeta yells.
"Effie please leave" I plead.
"Will I get the guards"
"No I can handle it"
"Katniss are you sure"
"YES Effie now LEAVE" I yell one last time before she runs.
Behind our chit chat Peeta was screaming and yelling the whole time.
"Peeta it's me Katniss... " i trail off into detail about our love. But it doesn't work. So I do the only thing left to try.
I run towards him at speed and crash my lips to his. He tries to flinch and struggles to free himself but soon enough he stops and I can tell he's ok now.
"Katniss ...oh my god, are you ok"
"Yeah I'm fine but...."
"But what.....what did I do .... "
"Nothing but your gonna have to explain to Effie "
"Ok I will... I'm sorry Katniss"
"It's okay"
He pulls me into a warm embrace and whispers in to my ear.
"Stay with me"
"Always" I whisper back.
