Your face waits behind my eyelids,
your name, between every thought.
I hear your voice in the silence,
my soul, by yours, is caught.
These rooms are empty of you,
the air is still and strange.
... There is nothing to do
but wait for you to change.
So I am the mistress of this,
I am inflicting the rift.
But am I the one you will miss?
When I set our hearts adrift?
I ended our relationship... Thinking it was for the best. He stayed with his mother while I packed up and moved out. His absence from our home was... strange.
