Two suns torched the sky.
We learned that time flies.
We learned lovers cry,
and everything dies.
While we were soaring
our thoughts got tangled;
all we were seeking,
somehow, we strangled.
But what we learned
is trust is earned;
and once burned,
it never returns.
I stayed with him for a year after discovering the infidelity. It wasn't an easy year, we didn't have money for couples' counselling. I slowly realised that our relationship was simply broken and couldn't be put back together.
