Chapter 6

Sophie's POV
I had to officially go home and to say I was scared is an understatement I didn't feel hungover which I guess is something elves don't feel but I was nervous what if I acted weird around my parents and they realize I did it with Keefe ugh I am not ready

I light leap home to see my mom and dad both sitting at the kitchen counter they look annoyed

Hey guys I say it so nervously

"Sophie you were supposed to be home an hour ago"edaline said it with a nervous look and Grady looked upset

I am so sorry we just all got caught up and I am sorry

"It's okay Sophie I just wished you called" I could see edaline was upset then Grady intervened "what did you guys do at this sleepover" I froze and didn't know what to say

We uh well we just hung out and played games and watched movies

They both nodded their head like they were dropping the topic until Grady said

"What kind of game leaves bruises like that on your neck" he definitely looked annoyed

Oh um I don't know you know me I kinda always fall

Edaline definitely didn't believe it but she just dropped it and told Grady to help her outside and as she left she gave me a look that said we will talk about this later

I ran upstairs and looked at my neck to see three little bruises two on my neck one on my collar bone ugh I am gonna kill Keefe

Since my parents already knew I just sat down on my bed and didn't feel the need to cover them up
An hour or so passed and I heard edaline come in

"Hey Sophie I know you are an adult now but if your living with us you can't go out and do stuff like that" she pointed to my neck

I know mom I am sorry I didnt mean for it to happen I promise but it was nothing crazy I swear

"Oh good" she breathed out a breath of Relief
I was confused

"I thought you guys did you know IT whew you scared me sophie"

I froze and laughed awkwardly if she didn't think I did it then I won't tell her we did what's the worst that can happen

Ya mom ahahah we would never I mean definitely not now we have only been together for a few months

" ya I know sweet heart but I also know that you both have loved each other for quite a bit longer"
I blushed and she just smiled and kissed my fore head
See the party wasn't a big deal and nothing crazy happened

8days later

Sophie's POV
Keefe was coming over today it had been over a week since we had seen each other and I missed him
Suddenly I heard his knock on the door

Hey foster I have a great day planned for today

Really what Are we doing I was so eager to know and I know he noticed

Pack your swimsuit we are going to a lake

Sounds fun can't wait
I ran to my closet then froze something wasn't right about today it was almost like I forgot something oh shoot right I am supposed to get my period this week I can't go to the lake

Sophie you okay

Keefe looked so nervous so I tried to relax him

Keefe I am good just remembered that the lake won't work today i Stared awkwardly at my feet hoping he would understand why and I didn't have to say it out loud
