Mathews POV
"And I've been taking care of her ever since." Vanessa said proudly and I smiled and nodded because at least some one was taking care of my baby.
"Well I guess it's my turn to finish it off huh?" I said and Bey nodded
"Okay well this is exactly how I remember it." I said then told my story.
Flash back
That day started off so beautifully, I didn't even want to leave to go to work. Tina made breakfast that morning, Beyoncé was out of school that day so we had a family day. I remember like it was yesterday.
"Good morning beautiful." I said kissing Tina on her cheek from behind.
"Good morning baby." She said turning towards me, she kissed my lips then continuing setting the table.
She flinched when my body touched hers and I softly rubbed her shoulders to calm her down. She slightly winced when I reached her neck. I looked down and noticed a bruise.
"Tina what's going on? I know Beyoncé didn't mistakenly hit you on your neck. And I've been seeing more and more bruises on your body. Baby talk to me, what's going on ?" I said pleading for her to open up to me. This isn't the first time I've asked about it and didn't get an honest answer.
"Baby I-," she started to say but Beyoncé walked in smiling she gave both of us a kiss on the cheek and sat down and the table
"Good morningggg." She said all bubbly, I loved seeing my baby happy, since I've been working I haven't been able to see her smile.
"We'll talk about it tonight." Tina said finishing our plates then sitting down. I kissed her forehead and told her okay. We enjoyed our breakfast together, we talked and laughed the whole time. It felt so good to be home that day. I didn't know it would be the last day that I would sit with my family and have a home cooked meal.
Later that day we were watching a movie having family time when I got a call from my job telling me they needed me to work that night. I was pissed because I haven't been able to spend time with my family as much as I wanted to and I was supposed to have the day off. I reluctantly told them I would come in around 7pm.
I broke the news down to Beyoncé and Tina and you could see that disappointment in their faces. I felt so bad leaving my girls but I had to go to work and provide for them. We spent as much time as we could together until I had to get ready to go. Tina followed me upstairs while Bey stayed downstairs watching another movie.
As I was putting my work clothes on I could see Tina pacing in the mirror so I turned around and stopped her.
"Talk to me sweetheart." I said gently, I know she starts to pace when she gets anxious
"Don't leave us please." She said with tears in her eyes. "I don't feel safe without you." I wrapped her in my arms as much as I could then kissed her forehead. She started to cry and nestled her face into my chest. I rubbed her back and sighed.
I didn't want to leave them. I never wanted to leave my girls. But I have to provide for them and make sure they get everything that their heart desires.
I kissed her head and rubbed her back. I didn't know if this was her hormones or if I sensed a bit of fear in her voice.
"I know baby, but I have to provide for our family. And we have Solo coming soon, I have to make sure we're ready when she gets here. Are you okay ? Why don't you feel safe? Micheal should be here to protect you from anything I can't." I felt her body tremble when I said his name
