I feel his body relaxing, but he still glares at Sbongiseni who is smiling ear to ear.
"Please," I say softly.
He finally turns his body to me, and glances at me.
"I'm sorry, Sthandwa sam," he chokes.
He really means it, I see it in his eyes.
"Its okay. Lets go to our bedroom, I need to rest," I try to smile.
He nods and takes my hand and leads the way.
I meet my gogo's glance and my heart breaks when she weakly smiles with tears on her eyes.
"Thank you," Nathi's mum murmurs.
I smile and follow Nathi.
His hand is so warm and welcoming.
I don't want to let go, I need him more now.
It's funny how mad at him I was moments ago but now I just wanna be clingy.
"Do you need to be alone?" He questions with uncertainty.
"No. I need you," I lead him to our bed and we both lay there comfortably.
My head nestles on his chest and yet again he plays with my dreadlocks gently. His heartbeat is firm. Sometimes I even think it beats for me because wow, the way this man looks at me. It's priceless.
"Busisiwe?" he calls out my name softly and I lift my head up gently, making sure I don't bump his chin and I meet his soothing glance.
"I'm really sorry for not protecting you as I always preach I'll protect you. This, I'll make sure you never go through it, again. I love you, Busi, and I never meant to deliberately hurt you."
He's tone is different. I can really tell that this situation hurt him badly.
Bloodly Sbongiseni.
"And when you said I should leave you, that broke me. You have no idea how much I need you, how much you make me happy and angry at the same time," he continues and smiles.
Thank God we are smiling now.
"I didn't mean everything I said. I was just angry and dissappointed, I love you Sthandwa sam. If it wasn't for your love for me, I doubt I'd be here today. I'm glad I found my family, you found them for me. I'll forever be thankful," I tear up.
"Finally, a person can pay amalobola for you, and probably make you pregnant every year," he grins.
I tend to forget how Nathi can be stupid when we're in serious moments.
"What happened between you and Sbongiseni?"
I'm curious and I'm tired of being in the dark. I demand to know the reason behind their hatred towards each other.
He sighs,"Alot."
"Then tell me," I adjust myself to be levels with him as I attempt to sit up straight, and proudly I manage.
"Sbongiseni deprived me of my parents love," he begins and the anger is vivid in his eyes and voice.
This is hurting him but he needs to let it out. He can't be angry for the rest of his life.
"What happened, Sthandwa sam?"
"We normally had these meaningless arguments, we were after all still kids. But when he grew older, he usually directed his own faults towards me and ofcourse my parents believed every word he said since his the older brother." He groans.
I entwine our fingers and encourage him to continue.
"When I was fourteen I became a rebellious child. I had this mentally of Sbongiseni always being the king to our parents heart. They never really paid attention to me and that only started when I became massively rebellious," he remains quiet for a few minutes before he continues.
"Sbongiseni started selling weed with Bongani's help ofcourse. When I found out about their dealings, I blackmailed them, thinking it would work in my favour. I told them if they don't allow me to help, I'd tell on them. If I only knew things would have backfired, I wouldn't have even tried to blackmail them from the first place," he shuts his eyes and its evident that the events haunt him.
I feel pained that he's hurting.
"He planted a package of weed inside my school bag and in that exact same day, the cops came to our school in search of drugs. I wasn't arrested since I was under age and I'll never forget the disappointment in my parents eyes. They didn't even believe me when I told them the weed doesn't belong to me but their son." He roars.
"That's how you ended up staying with your grandparents?"
He nods.
Who the hell does that to their own brother, his own blood?
"I know you're still insanely angry at him but you need to let go, Nathi," I suggest.
"Let go? I'm not doing that," he harshly states, glaring at me with disbelief.
"Even if it's not now, just forgive him. For your own peace and mine. Atleast try doing it for me and our kids," I plead. "Let go of the past, Love. Please," I add.
He sighs, "I'll try. But he hurt you, Busi. How am I suppose to move on from that?"
"We'll both find a way to move on from this," I whisper and smile reassuringly.
He nods before he decides to shift softly from the bed and goes straight to my thighs.
"What exactly are you doing?" I giggle.
He ignores me, his fingertips make contact with my skin. That gives me intense goosebumps.
He pulls my dress up and he exposes my baby bump.
"I'm about to do something bad to your mother, so keep your eyes and ears shut," he kisses my belly and I giggle at his foolishness.
At the end of the day, I can never deny the love I have for him. And him telling me about his past with Sbongiseni has placed me at ease, atleast I know now where the tension comes from.
I'll help him move on from this as much as he helps me forget about my dark past everyday.
