Arc 3 Chapter 19: Royal Knight

"Now, who sent you..." Jun's eyes looked slightly gloomy as he was already fairly certain of who the person was...

Princess Mirribell stayed silent.

Jun was extremely angry now, his sword began to draw a bit of blood. "If you are unable to tell me I shall use force!" 

'Ah I can't let him kill the FL!'

【*Ding, Story Progress: -82% 】

'Hmmm...?'

Sylvia looked into the dark.

"Don't you dare!" Suddenly a new voice burst out.

'Ah I wasn't expecting him to come, he was supposed to find out later...' Sylvia began to rub her tired eyes, she hadn't wanted this development to occur yet. She had put in place distractions for him, still with the ML halo he must have sensed something amiss.

Prince Valentine walked out of the trees.

Jun's eyes slightly brightened with deep hope upon seeing the new arrival.

'Perhaps... perhaps she had not been the one behind this...' He grew hopeful.

Quickly he asked. "Did you perhaps instruct her to come here...?"

Prince Valentine was upfront. 

"No."

Jun's eyes that had slightly brightened for a second immediately dimmed, he was almost certain who was behind it now...

Still, princess Mirabelle had yet to say, so he turned his fury on her as he spoke to the prince. 

"Then I'll kill her for not answering!" 

"Prince Valentine!" 

Quickly a sobbing Princess Mirabelle rushed over to Prince Valentine, but before she could hug him he coldly brushed her aside.

【*Ding, Story Progress: -85% 】

Turning to the princess he coldly spoke. 

"I. Saw. Everything."

Then with cold disregard he turned away and looked towards Jun with a slight bow. "Please, as your half brother, grant me one request and do not kill her."

Jun bitterly spoke. "I don't care about "brotherly bonds." I will agree to your request if she tells me who sent her!"

Jun was truly furious as he once again coldly pointed his sword towards the Princesses throat.

No matter what, he wanted his answer.

Without being coaxed, Princess Mirabelle immediately confessed through tear stained eyes. "I-it was princess...Princess Sylvia!"

Immediately Jun's eyes swirled a deep inky black as he unconsciously released a bit of dark energy into the surrounding area. Then Jun calmly turned to leave but before he could Prince Valentine called out to him.

With swirling black eyes Jun turned back.

"What?!"

"Please fulfill one more request for me." Prince Valentine's serious eyes focused on Jun.

"What is it?" Jun's aura was increasingly dark as he spat out.

"Allow me to drop my engagement with Princess Mirabelle from this day forward."

【*Ding, Story Progress: -90% 】

Princess Mirabelles eyes immediately widened but before she could say anything Jun spoke.

"I shall accept your request."

【*Ding, Story Progress: -95% 】

With that Jun walked off, leaving Princess Mirabelle and Prince Valentine.

"D-don't do this!" Princess Mirabelle begged towards the cold ex fiance Prince.

"I only saved you because of our past but from now on consider our contact fulfilled and never come see me again."

Then without listening to any more of her pleas, Prince Valentine left. Leaving Princess Mirabelle all alone in the dark.

【*Ding, Story Progress: -97% 】

*Desert Note: At the beginning of this chapter Jun brought a bouquet of orange blossoms, here's the meaning.

"The meaning of the orange blossom can be seen as the hidden qualities found inside as it means innocence, eternal love, and symbolizes marriage and Fruitfulness."

Also, fun little side fact, there's an actual reason why Jun recognized that it wasn't Sylvia.

"Shyly Jun handed over the gifts. Just as the girl reached her hands out to accept them Jun instantly scowled."

He recognized that they weren't Sylvia's hands (・ω<)

This is just an important fact for future arcs as it shows that Jun (as he is now) can't necessarily perceive the Villain, but he is able to distinguish her by certain features. This also gives the Villain an advantage if she discovers this.  :>
