My night with Noah went pretty well.
Our shower experience was something
I'll never forget.
We ended up ordering late night takeout,
and watched a couple of movies.
It's now about three in the morning,
and Noah is currently knocked out
in a deep sleep.
It's hard for me to sleep sometimes
around this hour,
so I usually just watch videos on my phone
until I fall back asleep.
As I'm watching videos,
I get a text notification.
It's Sonny.
Can you come outside?
I really need to talk to you.
Please.
He's outside?
Crap-
Noah's here.
I hope he's not expecting to come inside,
because that's simply not going to happen.
"Sonny,
what are you doing here so late?"
I text him.
I just need to see you.
Please,
just come out.
Fine.
Noah's sleeping anyways.
I slowly start to get up from the bed,
being careful not to wake up Noah.
I then begin to tiptoe out of my room,
and down the stairs.
I open up the door,
and Sonny's standing right there.
I expected him to be in his car.
"What did you want to talk about?" I ask. "It's really late,
and I'm tired,"
"Can I come in?" he asks me.
That would be a very,
very bad idea.
"Why?
You can tell me what you need to tell me,
right here."
"Well why can't I just come in?
Are you that mad at me?" he asks me.
"No,
it's just late,
and I want to quickly get to bed."
Which isn't a lie,
but I also don't want Noah waking up,
and walking down here by accident.
