After I've woken up this morning I found Cal in his bedroom peacefully sleeping so I took a cab and left home.

I was now unlocking the door of my apartment thinking about what I'm going to walk in once I do.

As I came in the apartment I was surprised to see Luke sitting on the bar stool. I wasn't surprised that he was smoking, but the view of his muscular, naked pale back kind of distracted my mind from the smoke.

I closed the door and that made Luke turn around. I wanted to say hi but no words came out so I just awkwardly stood in the middle of the hallway looking at him.

He then stood up and quickly finished his cigarette, this time not turning it out.

"Had fun with Hood yesterday?" he asked rudely and gave me a smirk.

Oh hey buddy smirk, haven't seen you in a while.

"Had fun sniffing dust yesterday?" I tried to be just as arrogant as he but extremely failed. I just hoped he was still drunk or high or whatever he was yesterday to not notice.

"Ouch, Lay, careful. I'm going to need some ice for these burns." Luke faked the pain on his face and held on to the imaginary painful spots on his body.

I couldn't help but peek through my clenched eyelids at his broad shoulders that were completely exposed.

Then I scoffed and tried to walk into the living room but Luke stopped me.

"You didn't tell me you go home with every guy who comes your way." he hissed.

"Eh?" was all I could get out. His voice and the statement itself startled me.

"I guess it's a privilege to live with you then. I just thought you were better than Hood." he said to himself and messed up his hair.

"God you're really such a jerk sometimes." I mumbled to myself still peeking at his face expression.

He then furiously turned back at me.

"Do not call me a jerk!!" he snapped and brought himself in my face putting his hand in the air. I winced and stared at him with wide eyes. He then put his palm on his forehead, grabbing strands of hair with his fingers. He backed up and stood a few inches in front of me not saying anything. After what I've seen yesterday I would't even be surprised if he hit me now.

He brought his hand down in front of his waist and examined it for a while. My face probably looked like I shit my pants, and his was extremely amused.

"You though I was going to hit you?" Luke asked with an unbelieving look on his face.

I didn't say anything and my eyes fell to the floor. I switched in spot and grabbed my elbow, not knowing what to do or say.

Luke let out a confused laugh. "I'd never hit you." he said and that made me look back up at him. His eyes were still confused and I bet mine were as well. "Never." he repeated and sounded like he said it to himself.

He kept staring at me for a few seconds and looked like he was really deep in thought. My cheeks were probably burning at that point so I brought my cold palms up to my face to cool them off.

When I peeked at him again he looked hurt. Did I hurt him? What?

It's not my fault I thought he was going to hit me. It's really his. If anyone here should feel hurt it's me. I'm living with a freaking psycho.

"Why do you always do that?" Luke then finally asked, obviously forgetting what had just happened and just letting it go.

"Do what?" I asked, not really knowing what exactly he was talking about.

"Try to get rid of the redness on your cheeks." he waved his hand in the direction of my face.

"Oh." I barely let out any voice. "I don't know. It's a habit." I shrugged.

"But it's nice when you blush." Luke's face then took the most innocent expression I've ever seen on him and he tilted his head. "It's nice because it's me that's making you blush." he continued, biting his lip and slightly tugging at his lip ring. His eyes were now a bit darker and the innocent expression was gone.

I blushed even more and my palms found it's way to my cheeks yet once again. When I realized what I did again I would've probably blush even harder if that was still possible.

"Awh now look at you." Luke pouted like a baby and for a second there I thought he would turn into a heart-eyed emoji.

He didn't say anything again and kept looking at me for a few seconds.

"Why do you do that?" I asked him and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Do what?" he copied my question with a confused tone in his voice.

"Just stare at me like that for a certain amount of time. It's awkward, you know." I spoke and my eyes fell to my palms in front of my waist.

Luke seemed to think about my question for a while, shifting in his spot every second.

"I don't trust you yet so I can't tell you." he finally let me know, copying my answer once again.

Seriously.

Q: Why do you think Luke, Michael, Calum and Ashton do what they do? Do you think there's a reason or is it just because they're fuckboys?

A/N:
Ok sorry if this was short and boring but I'm trying to make character development and Idk, next chapter will give you a hint to why Luke acts the way he does!
