I've been patiently looking
For a place like you
Kept warm by the shirt
You gave me as a clue
Life has turned on it's head
The sky graciously shared it's hue
The path began to morph
And the search for you did too
I'm completely worn out
But I refuse to eschew
My search for a place
That reminds me of you
I wish things went differently
For a new story altogether
I wish that in the end
We would be together
I know I must stop
Because there is nowhere like you
But I'm still foolishly searching
In the shirt you gave me when I was blue
