Chapter 9

~~~~[y/n] POV~~~~

"Damn, no more sugar" I was doing a check on my café seeing what I need to buy, it was like ten pm, this whole day I was busy but what I need for the ferret and sugar glider that I forgot I need to do a routine check

So now it's late and I have to go out in the dark buying these items

I just sighed out and went to the grocery store, I was whistle a tune as I got my stuff, once I purchased it I walked back home

But I felt an eerie presence, so I started to speed up my walk, I can hear running footsteps so I started to run but the bags where heavy, I turned around and see a man chasing me so I said 'fuck it' and dropped the bags

But then a hand came out of an alleyway grabbed my mouth and yanking me inside

That's when I felt a hard object hit against my head and I blacked out

~~~~Luke's POV~~~~

"Hey where's [y/n]?" Alex said as he walked over to me

"I don't know, she hasn't opened up the café, and I knocked on her door, she didn't answer, I also tried calling her but it went straight to voicemail"

"That's weird" I nodded in agreement "didn't she say she went shopping for groceries"

"Yeah, but what are the chances of her getting kidnapped"

"Maybe she did, but doesn't she have quirk?"

"She..... she actually never mentioned her quirk" we thought about it hard, but we eventually gave up "should we maybe look around?" I asked him

"I guess it won't hurt" we walked towards the local grocery store, but when we took the route we noticed a bag of groceries on the flour that was a few blocks away from the café

We checked what's inside of it and it looked like what [y/n] would get "wh-what are the chances of it being hers" Alex said nervously

I started to think hard about it, maybe someone has security cameras we could check, I look at the game store who has one

[y/n] told me she often goes there and she became friends with the man that owns the store, maybe he'll let us check if we mention [y/n] disappearance

We both walk in and see a middle aged man standing behind the counter, we both walked up and did our best to explain the situation

"Well that is odd, maybe she went to a family members house"

"Sir she moved here from Nevada, she has no family here, and she doesn't have many friends, all of this doesn't make any sense, she would've told us if she where going somewhere as well, so can we please check the security camera" I tried to reason, he agreed and we went in the back

We checked from last night and see her running, but something or someone grabbed her from an alleyway.... and we didn't see her come out

"Oh god this is bad! What do we do!? She's like the coolest boss and I don't want her to die!!" Alex yelled

"First of all, you need to calm down, second we need to call the police, we'll show them the footage, and just pray that she's okay" I said trying to calm him down

He nodded and we called the police, once that was done we showed him everything and left it in there hands "should we tell Deku?" Alex asked

"I don't know, if he comes by like he does then I guess, but I don't want to bother him that much, he probably has a lot on his plate"

"But it wouldn't hurt if we just asked, would it?"

"I guess we should just tell him, if he does have time he can probably help out, when it's usually closing time we should come back, that's when he comes, so meet me here"

"A-alright" we went our separate ways trying to get our minds off of the situation for now

~~~~Time Skip~~~~

I was walking towards the café hoping that Deku would be there, and to my relief he was

He was knocking on the door waiting "D-Deku!" I ran up to him with a worried expression

"Oh, your Luke, one of [y/n]'s employees"

"Y-yeah, uh- um... about [y/n], she... sh-she was kidnapped" I can see worry wash over him

"R-Really?" I nodded my head, he scratches the back of his head, looks like he's thinking about something "a-alright, I should get going, d-do you know any more about this"

"I-if you go to the game store a few blocks from here than you can see the security footage, or you can just go to the police station and ask them about it, since they also have the footage as well"

He nodded his head "alright, thank you" he leaves and I just stand there sighing out

"Hey Luke!!" I jumped up scared from the sudden noise, I turn to my side and see Red Riot make his way towards us "is [y/n] here? I wanted to talk to her"

"Oh god... sh-she was kidnapped, if you want more information then you could just go to the police station, I told Deku about this, you can ask him as well if you want"

"Y-your lying aren't you"

"No I'm not, really ask Deku, or go to the game store and ask for there security footage, it shows her being snatched from an alleyway"

"Your telling the truth aren't you, fuck, alright I'm gonna try and figure this out, I'll see you later Luke" I see him run away and I made my way back home as well

"Hey Luke, did you tell them" I turn my back and see Alex make his way

"Yeah, I'm guessing there gonna help out"

"That's a relief"

"Just hope they won't be too late"
