A contest had just ended and Drew had just had a run in with a swarm of his fangirls. Needless to say, he was tired and annoyed from them alone, but all that changed when the winner of the contest approached him.

"Hey Drew!" May greeted. "What brings you here? I saw you didn't participate this time."

"You know me. It's always good to keep a close eye on your competition." Drew flipped his hair.

Though, there was something more somber about his tone that he hoped May would notice.

"Is something wrong?" May asked.

"Yeah, I guess. I'm just going through...girl troubles." Drew replied.

Really, girl troubles? That's the best he could do? Even if it was true, that's the last thing he needed to say in front of her.

"What do you mean?" May tilted her head a bit.

"I mean..." Drew paused, but decided to go along with it anyway. "...there is this girl and...I can't seem to get her attention."

May's mouth flew open. There was a girl that Drew wanted but didn't notice him. It didn't seem possible, but that didn't stop jealousy and sadness from twisting up in May's stomach. Nonetheless, she pulled herself together and acted as if nothing was different.

"Really?" May raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah. I was surprised too." Drew have a small sad grin.

May rolled her eyes but couldn't help but ask "What is she like?"

"Well...she is sweet, kind, beautiful, and really talented." Drew smiled dreamily. "She has surprised me from day one and challenges me to work harder than before. Not just in contests, but in general. She makes me feel...better when she is around. I'm grateful everyday that I got the chance to met her and I wouldn't change anything about her."

May felt conflicted as she listened to Drew talk about this girl. The one he clearly loved. Half of her was boiling with jealously but she was still really happy for him. That he could find someone to make him so happy. So, she put her negative feelings aside.

"That's really great. I'm really happy for you." May faked a smile. "If you ever need help, I'm here for you."

Just as May was about to turn and leave, Drew took her arm to stop her.

"Actually, I could use your advice. If you wouldn't mind." Drew slowly let go of her.

"Sure." May said.

"How do you think I should tell her?" Drew asked.

"I don't know. Every girl is different and I don't know who she is." May replied.

Nor did May want to know this girl's name. This conversation was painful enough.

"How would you want someone to tell you? It might give me some ideas." Drew added the last part quickly.

"Well...for me, the perfect thing would be in a little romantic spot. Something like the beach or a field of pretty flowers. Just somewhere peaceful and quiet. He would surprise me with it and keep me close and confess everything that he loves about me." May gushed, though her tone changed to a more thoughtful one. "But honestly, I'd just want to know how much he cares about me. For him to be able look me in the eyes and show me how he really feels. That's all I really want."

Drew listened intently to every detail that left May's mouth. He had to if he was going to use it himself. That's when something occurred to him.

While her first description was one of the usual female fantasies, the second part seemed more thought out. Like it was more real to her, like she had thought about it more deeply than just a simple fantasy. Maybe, just maybe she had feelings for someone, and he hoped that someone was him.

"Is that so?" Drew couldn't help but smile.

"Yeah. That's what I would want." May nodded slowly. "I hope that was helpful, but I should get going." She turned about to walk away.

"Actually, May there's one more thing." Drew remarked.

May turned back to him, a confused look on her face.

"What is it?" May asked.

Drew stepped right in front of her and took her hands, gently rubbing his thumbs over the backs of her hands. May glanced at their hands before she looked back to him. A light blush dusted her cheeks as the confusion turned to surprise.

"May, all that stuff I just said, it's about you." Drew softly kissed the back of one of her hands. "It's always only been you. I love you so much, and if you will let me, I'll show you every second of every day how much I care about you. So, what do you say, May?"

Drew gaze at her, so much hope and affection in his eyes.

May slowly proceed everything he just confessed. She was the special girl he was just going on about. She was the one he cared so deeply for. She was the one he loved.

Tears welled up in her eyes as a huge smile pinched her cheeks.

"Drew...that was better than I could have hoped." May beamed. "I love you too!" May hugged him. "I was so sad when I though you were talking about someone else. That was so sweet and well worth the wait. Thank you."

Drew tightly hugged her back. Out of all the scenarios he played put in his head, this was better than anything.

"You are amazing, May." Drew whispered to her. May giggled in response and kissed his cheek. "Oh, is that all?"

"Wha-"

May was cut off with a kiss. As much of a surprise as it was for May, she was happy to accept it.

They kissed for all the time they missed and wanted to make up for. All of Drew's girl problems disappeared with the one he wanted in his arms. This was all he wanted and more.
