"Stay in bed, goose. Get some sleep"

"No, no, I'm awake" you said, standing quickly; you swayed slightly, brain muddled with sleep and being uprighted so fast, grimacing as your uterus complained. "Being a chick sucks" you mumbled, unconsciously rubbing your swollen abdomen.

"Stay. Sleep" he said, pushing you back down. "I'll send Drew back over in a couple of hours"

"I only have a few days with you. I'm coming" you protested, standing once again, not wobbling this time, and stretching.

He sighed heavily, throwing his hands up in defeat. "Hurry up then, you're going to make me late"

You didn't, the pair of you bleary eyed and yawning as you waited for the lighting and camera crew to finish setting up. You rested your head on his shoulder, closing your eyes for what felt like a moment.

"How the hell can she sleep in that thing?"

You jerked awake, blinking. Zendaya waved at you, smirking as she sat in her chair. "Hey" you mumbled, rubbing your eyes.

"This is nothing. She fell asleep at the football once. Everyone's yelling and carrying on and she's dead to the world, using Paddy's shoulder as a pillow" Tom remarked, smirking at you. You stuck your tongue out at him childishly and he stuck his back at you.

"I had a 4am start that day and an 11pm finish the night before" you countered, sipping the lukewarm coffee. "Besides Z, I've seen you fall asleep in weirder places"

"Yeah but I can't sleep in these things" she replied, gesturing to the awkward chairs you were sitting in.

"That's because you're a giraffe" Tom teased, dodging the shoe Zendaya lobbed at his head.

"Tom, they're ready for you"

"Ladies" he smirked, tossing Zendaya's shoe back to her and kissing your cheek briefly before following after Drew.

"What a little shit" Zendaya muttered darkly.

"Tell me about it" you replied.

**

"Hey, you ready?"

"Yes!" you replied, slamming your book shut and shoving it in your bag as you scrambled to your feet, rushing to his side. Tom chuckled, smiling as you hugged him tightly. "What?"

"Nothing, you're just cute" he said, smiling down at you. "Who did all of this?" he asked, gesturing to your face.

"Zendaya. The eyeliner and highlight is a little bold for me but she was happy so" you shrugged, feeling self-conscious as Tom closely inspected you.

"And your hair?" he asked, fingering a curl.

"Kate"

"You look gorgeous, as always"

You blushed though no one was around to see, just the two of you in his trailer. "Come on, before you turn me into a tomato"

It was surprisingly quiet as the gondola slowly carved a path through the water, street lamps coming to life as the sun set.

"It's beautiful, huh" Tom said, hand on your back, absently tracing patterns.

"Yes" you said, glancing back at him. "But I like Verona more"

"Same"

You smiled; the sun had nearly disappeared, the sky a soft burning glow that bathed him in light. You sidled up to him, wrapping an arm around his neck as you kissed him, pouring yourself into the kiss. His arms encircled your waist, pulling you even closer to him; you could feel his heart beating against your palm, his body radiating an enticing warmth. You ached for more, to feel all of him and for him to feel all of you. To lose and find yourselves in each other.
