Coming Home and Confessing

Derek and Chris are supposed to be coming home today. I was super excited but Josie seemed nervous. I know that ever since she saw Damien she's been more worried. I keep telling her to talk to Derek. I really hope that they talk. A few minutes a doorbell interrupted my thoughts.

I opened the door and saw a very tall Chris with a smiling Derek behind him. After about ten seconds of staring at each other I attacked him. I jumped on him and he picked ne up supporting me by my butt. A few minutes Josie came downstairs.

"What's going on do-" she was cute of by staring at Derek at the front door. "Derek!!!"

She ran to him and picked her up kissing her (more like making out) in his arms.

"So how your trip?" I asked the guys.

"Good but tiring" Derek replied

"Where's Savannah?" Asked Chris

"Sleeping upstairs" I answered

"So how was it without us around?" Asked Chris

"Lonely and depressing. The baby has been kicking like crazy" I replied

They laughed.

"How about you babe?" Derek asked Josie

She was silent and trying to fake smile. "Boring" she finally answered.

"You know your brothers came by to help out with Savannah." I told Chris not really realizing I was putting Josie in an awkward position.

"Really?  That's great they haven't spent so much time with Savannah so that's good. Did Josie meet them?" Asked Chris

This was getting more intense and I felt like the secret was going to spill out without even us saying it out loud.

Josie seemed nervous and her face was getting pale.

"Yes I did" Josie said weakly

"Josie are you ok?" Asked Derek

"Yea I just feel nervous" she replied not really paying attention to what she was getting herself into

Derek made a confused face. "Why would you be nervous?"  He asked

Josie looked at me giving me the 'should I say it' look. I nodded. I figured now was the perfect time.

"What's going on? Is there something you guys are hiding?" Asked Derek

"Um actually there's something I need to ask you Chris" said Josie to Chris

"Sure" Chris replied

"Did Damien ever tell you guys that his girlfriend was pregnant?" Josie asked Chris

"No?" Chris replied confused

Derek looked extremely lost. "What are you getting at?" He asked

"Derek I'm going to tell you something but please don't freak out" Josie told Chris

Derek held Josie's hand. "I wont" he assured her.

"Ok well. About a year ago Damien and I were in a committed relationship. We were about to get engaged until I walked in on him with another women. About 2 months later I found out I was pregnant.  I didn't tell Damien about the baby but he soon found out. After he found out he told me he wanted us to get married. I was in shock when those words cane out of his mouth but he said that if I didn't marry him that he would fight for full custody. To be honest I didn't mind him taking full custody because he had the money to take care of a child while I barely did. Living in New York is expensive. Soon I found out I was having a girl.  A few months later around my seventh month I went to a 4D ultrasound. Once I saw my baby on the screen I knew I couldn't give her up so flew to California to live my aunt. She had raised me as her own since my family and I didn't get along. There were times where I almost ran into him but he never found out. On my ninth month I gave birth to my baby girl. I stayed in California for a few months until I had to get back to New York. I know you're wondering why I didn't bring her with me or why I didn't stay in California. I couldn't bring her because I didn't want to run into Damien and I didn't stay in California because I had a great job in New York and my life up here. I know it was selfish of me but I didn't want my daughter to be taken away from me just because I didn't wanna agree to a loveless marriage. I did often visit he but when I found out I was pregnant I stopped. I really want you to be a father to her Derek but sometimes it scares me. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you but I didn't know how to." Josie cried

Derek hugged her and Chris' face was in shock and seemed confused.

"Look babe I'm not gonna lie I am a little upset you didn't tell me but I'm not mad. I do wanna meet her and Damien will meet her. I know I should probably be against it but I don't want it getting us in trouble. Plus I'm sure Chris will tell him if you don't" Derek said.

"But what if he takes her away from me?" She cried more

"He won't I promise we have the best lawyers" Derek replied

"How about we fly your aunt and daughter so we can talk it over with the whole family. " Chris suggested

Josie agreed.

"Hey you never told us what her name was" I told Josie

"Oh her name is Aaliyah Madison Evans" Josie said

"That's a pretty name. I can't wait to meet her." I replied

A few minutes later Savannah came running downstairs.

"Daddy!" She squealed

"Princess!" He yelled back catching her

He tickled her until she fell on the floor laughing

"Hey didn't you miss me?" Asked Derek referring to Savannah

She giggled and ran to him.

The rest of the night went better since there were no more secrets. Now for the hard part.
