Chapter 3: Reason

Stares.

That's all I sense.

Insults.

That's all I hear.

Beatings.

That's all I see.

A poor little boy.

Is all I see getting hurt.

Why won't anyone help?

Why won't I help?

Why can't I move my body?

It felt like I was frozen.

I couldn't bear watching that poor kid get hurt.

It's been going on for far too long.

it was slowly killing me.

I noticed the kid stagger up and limp away.

That's when I noticed not only that he was bleeding.

but I was able to move again.

I decided to follow far behind.

I don't want to startle the kid.

I soon find the kid stagger up his stairs and into what I believe is his home.

I stay near.

Suddenly, I get an odd feeling.

I jump to the Kid's window and look in.

What I saw nearly caused me to fall off the ledge of the window.

I was so shocked.

The kid was laying there in a pool of blood.

I notice that the window was unlocked.

I opened it and jumped in.

I tried to stop the bleeding.

but it kept gushing out.

soon, blood covered my hands.

"I'm getting nowhere with this!" I scold at myself.

I gently pick the kid up in my arms, bridal style.

"you don't deserve this kind of life.." I mumble.

Running as fast as my legs can carry me and the kid.

I arrive at the hospital.

Thank Kami I did.

I could sense the kid's heartbeat slowing

and his chakra starting to fade

faster by the minute.

I quickly run into the hospital

Demanding someone to get this Kid to the emergency room

"Why should we help that monster?"

Do they dare ask that question to me?

"he's not a monster, he's just an innocent child and if you don't save him, I will personally rip each and every one of you limb to limb"

I say, glaring killingly at the medic-nin.

They quickly nod and take the kid to the emergency room.

"kid, you better live. You have so much more to live for, I promise you."

I mumble before walking after them.

Silently praying that the kid will wake up soon.
