"Alright, class dismissed. I will see you all next week for the pop quiz."

I quickly wrote down a reminder in my notebook to study, as I was sat at the back of my class. I was becoming more organized lately. I really wanted to do better at school.

I said goodbye to my teacher and made my way out of the classroom. As I was walking to my next class, suddenly a figure appeared next to me.

"Hey."

I turned my head and sighed as I saw Aaron, before continuing to walk.

He smirked, walking beside me.

"You're not even gonna say hello to me?"

I stopped, and faced him, smiling sarcastically.

"Hi."

Then I began to walk forward again.

As expected, he kept following me.

"Okay, what's up?", he smirked.

I stayed quiet.

"Are you seriously gonna ignore me?"

"I'm not ignoring you, I'm going to class."

He chuckled, keeping up with my fast pace.

"Wait, hold up a sec", he touched my arm.

I stopped, turning around.

"What is it?"

Aaron nervously fidgeted with his tie before placing his hands in his pockets.

"Why didn't you answer my calls? Don't you think we should talk?"

"Aaron, there's nothing to talk about."

"That's not true."

I nodded. "Yes, it is. And frankly, I don't appreciate you calling me when I'm with my boyfriend."

Aaron raised his eyebrow.

"You were with Michael?"

I couldn't help but feel bad as I heard the hurt in his voice, and saw a sadness appear in his eyes.

"Yes", I sighed. " I was. Because we're still together."

"So after everything we spoke about you're going back to him?"

"The truth is, I never left. And I was never going to."

"But Luke-"

"No but's", I gulped. "I don't think we should speak anymore."

"What does that mean?"

"It means what it does."

He scoffed, rubbing his chin.

"So we can't even be friends?"
