I'm walking through the courtyard when I receive a text from Macy

Macy 💜

Bri! Carson's party tonight! Be there!

Okay, send me the address. What should I wear?

247 Mapleview Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11251
Just wear something summery and cute.

So shorts and a black crop top, and curled hair put up in a ponytail?

Yeah, and if you pair that with your winged eyeliner, you're good!

Thanks, girl!

No problem!

See you later!

See ya!

I walk back to the dorm and prepare for the party. I grab my black crop top and blue high-waisted shorts and put my hair up in a ponytail before adding light waves. For makeup, I add another coat of mascara and my black winged eyeliner with a pink glossy lip.

Then I grab my purse, walk out the door, and call a cab to the texted address.

Once the car pulls to a stop, arriving at the address, I get out and pay the cab driver before walking up to the front door. Music blaring out the windows shakes my ears, and I can see silhouettes in the distance of the back room dancing. Sensory overload, but I'm determined to join my best friend who's no doubt caught up in the same crowd somewhere within the house. So, I take a deep and open the door, and walk inside, hoping that I can handle it all.

Once I've entered the party, I see the kitchen in my line of sight and I walk straight towards it to find Macy. I know my best friend, and I can see her blonde curled hair out of the corner of the kitchen and Carson's keychain hanging out of his jeans' front pocket right beside her.

"Hey Mace! Hey Carson!" I say.

"Hey Bri." they both reply.

"This parties awesome Carson!" I say.

"Thanks. That means a lot Brielle." he says back,

"Well, you know I'm not allowed to drink more than a glass. And I had to invite my sponsor. He's over there. Ha."

Macy hands me a drink, "You should try this." Macy suggests.

"It's summer. You don't need to be anywhere tomorrow why don't you just live a little?" she says convincingly,

I take the drink, "Okay fine. One drink."

I take a drink of it, "It's not actually that bad."

"If you want more..." Macy says,

Carson interrupts her, "Just take the bottle, it's small. I bet it'll fit in your purse." Carson laughs.

I roll my eyes, "Fine, I'm going to take it just to get y'all off my back."

Macy and I leave the kitchen to go to the dance floor and start to dance to our favorite songs on the stereo
