~flashback~When we returned to the warehouse, Willie had people there to help Jermaine with his bullet wound. I scanned the room, and my eyes landed on my daughter. She turned around, smiling wide.

"Thank goodness your okay," she said and made her way towards me.

We hug for a brief moment, then she went to find Chance. Taking a seat in an open chair, I reflect on the event that just took place. I'm glad things didn't end for the worse. We're going to need a lot of help for what is to come.

~fast forward 4 months~

Today is the day that baby girl is having her baby shower. I can't believe how time has flied, and she really could have the little one at any moment. I'm fixing my button up shirt, Nicole snaked her arms around me.

"You about ready?," she asked me.

"Says the one who changed 3 times," I teased.

She playfully rolled her eyes and said, "today is a big day."

"Indeed it is."

After cutting all the lights off, we headed out.
...

When we walked into the hall Chance and Aya had rented out, the layout is dope. Blue balloons and other décor decorated the room. I spotted baby girl at the front. She had her pulled into a neat bun and dressed in a powder blue dress. Nicole and I made our way to her.

"Mom! Dad!," she said with excitement.

"Hey baby girl," I replied.

Nicole kisses her cheek and pulled her into a hug.

"I can't believe you could have our grandson at any moment," Nicole added.

"Yeah, I know right. Time really does go by fast... but I feel like I've been pregnant for forever," she said.

"Same thing your mom said when she was pregnant with you," I replied.

We all ate at first, then Aya and Chance opened their gifts. She looked so happy up there with him. Nicole is a little emotional because our daughter is grown and starting a family. Once the baby shower is over, we helped baby girl her her gifts back to their apartment.

"Wow, I can't believe how much my unborn son has gotten," Aya said to Chance as he maneuvered between the living room and the second bedroom that had been converted to a nursery.

The baby shower was successful. My parents helped us bring home the gifts our baby has received.

"Well sweetheart, your going to need a lot of these items. Especially, the diapers and wipes," my mom replied.

"True," I agreed.
