adrian mari hopper had tried to live her life the way she wanted it. That teenage part of her life? She had stacks of polaroids hidden away for a scrapbook she still hasn't completed. Half of them she still has with her and are hung up on her cabin wall, clipped there on the led string lights. Most of them consist of her recent mortal college friends; Isabela and Bailey, her brother Nico, and the rest; Percy, Annabeth, Will, and Leo here and there, but most importantly — Jason. And somehow throughout the transition from that part of her life, the wild and thrilling adventurous time where she was simultaneously afraid for her life living on a warship, those pictures survived all of that. Even when she was running from it; running from the idea that she had fallen for Jason Grace because he was gone and he was never coming back. And now even in Camp Half-Blood when she's finally home, nestled in her bed and should be sleeping, because god only know when she'll be able to get another good nights rest, she looks at those pictures and smiles happily. Because even if those years weren't the best, they proved to be the greatest.
